Decided to knock out my other TCG redraw entry today!! I used to love digitally imitating papercraft, this was fun to tackle!

Here's my entry for the Hoenn dex redraw being hosted by @poketcg-art ! I picked Tropius because its one of my favorites, and I wanted to draw something tropical and cheerful. Hoenn has some of my favorite pokemon though, so it was hard to pick ahaha.

The original card is by Taira Akitsu, from Paldea Evolved. It was tricky to try to capture some of the very subtle shading and color effects that are in the original but deffinetly a good artwork to study!

With much better timing I present my finished art piece of Registeel for the Hoenn @poketcg-art redraw event.

Having had so much fun ‘lifting off the page’ with the unown last time I decided to test myself and go further into 3 dimensions. I think I really enjoyed doing this style of work and I’m quite proud!

Done with acrylic paints, charcoal pencils, and dip ink. Mostly made of cardboard with some drawing paper and back supports are paper or plastic. Lighting was three flashlights.

Mega Feraligatr redraw for @poketcg-art 's Johto Dex collab! Felt like trying something a little different, so I took inspiration from the color palette of feraligatr's Gold/Silver sprite (and the Whirl Islands tileset for the rocks and waterfall in the background, as a treat). It's not truly using actual GSC palette limitations for various reasons, but it was still pretty fun to mess around with!

(Boy am I glad this guy was among the previews for the new Ascended Heroes set... don't think I'd have had nearly as much fun with the dorky chompy-arms pose for the default print of the card, lol.)

Here's my entry for @poketcg-art's redraw project. I used to love this card. I never had it but anyone who did on the playground was simply the Greatest at Pokemon

My entry for @poketcg-art 's Hoenn card redraw collab! I have a soft spot for mixed media cards so this redraw is mixed media as well, the Treecko is a 3D sculpt while the background is traditional w/layered paper art elements.
