gotta love and appreciate dead boy detectives for being so unapologetically queer in both senses of the word.
it's queer as in gay, but also queer as in strange. queer as in "edwardian ghost has a situationship with a nefarious crow." queer as in every single one of the main characters struggled to fit in with their peers in some way. queer as in fun campy references and theatrical cinematography. queer as in cats can talk and zombies are real and lukas gage is the king of all cats. queer as in fighting your old demons (both literal and metaphorical) and healing your inner child.
queer as in gay, but also queer as in holy shit, these writers definitely knew their audience
