"you saw that asshole grab me, right?" hunter felt guilty. she didn't mean to get them kicked out of the bar, but everything happened so fast. one second, she was ordering drinks for her and her best friend. the next, some drunk asshole was trying to grope her. in typical hunter fashion, she threatened to lay him out despite being three times her size. before she got the chance, she was being escorted out the back door, leaving her friend no choice but to follow. it was nothing new. she had a short temper and wasn't afraid to show it. now, as they stood at hunter's front door, she unlocked the door. "i know tonight was kind of a bust, but... do you want to come in for a little bit? watch a movie or something?" she was desperate to keep the night going. she didn't want to say goodnight just yet.

her palm smacked against the glass, the crowd roaring behind her in a chorus of boos as there was yet another missed call. “are you blind, ref?” rae had been nervous to attend any games after her relationship with jake and damien went public yet those around her either didn’t know who she was or didn’t care enough to bother her about it. “who paid you off?”

"if you're looking for my brother, i'm pretty sure he already left for the beach. he mumbled something about the early bird catching the best waves on his way out." june looked up at the other, the sunglasses that cover her face coming in handy so she can properly check kaden out. "you're more than welcome to hang out here, though." june's gaze shifted from kaden (who somehow looked even hotter than the last time she'd seen him) to the pool in front of them. "i've got like... half a chapter left, then i was going to go for a swim. you interested?"

"i promise you, this place will cheer you up." mikey kept his enthusiasm up as he pulled into the drive in. it was the same one he used to frequent in high school. whenever his spirits were low, he came here for a root beer float and an order of jalapeno poppers. if one didn't cure his bad day, the other had to. "just trust me, okay?" as he pulled into a parking spot, he watched one of the servers approach his car out of the corner of his eye. she handed them a pair of menus, matching mikey's bright smile as he thanked her. " get whatever sounds good. my treat. you have to get a root beer float, though — that's a requirement."
