It wasn't every day that she SAW new faces. Within Fabletown it was always the same people time & time again, so when newcomers would ARRIVE they seemed to stick out like a sore thumb. ❝ You seem new, did you come up from the farm? ❞

“Jeff, come on. Roll over. It’s not that hard.”
Blake had decided that, because she was no longer in high school, training her dumb ferret would be a wonderful idea. Why she decided to train him in the park of all places was a mystery – more than likely, the reason was because she wanted to use the leash she had purchased for him a few months before. Unsurprisingly, ferrets didn’t really like leashes. Were ferrets even supposed to go on walks? Oh well. Blake didn’t really think about things like that. She just wanted to get out of the house and apparently, poor Jeff had to go with her.
Blake laid in the grass next to the ferret, who was sniffing the ground. It was shocking that he hadn’t run away. He was a chill ass ferret. “You’re such an asshole, Jeff… wait. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to say that. You’re a good man.”
Jeff seemed to be insulted, though, because he decided to start running away. Oh. Oh. Okay, well, that was a problem. Blake sat up, seeming shocked by his actions. How could he run away from her like this? “Jeff! Hey, wait up!” Jeff ignored her and kept running away from her. So, of course, she had to go after him. How was this god damn ferret out running her?
