Asking sounded like pleading, he understood that much from his own past to know why she phrased her request the way that she did. He’d been walking out of the bathroom with his boxers hanging low on his waist, a clear indicator that he’d cleaned up in the effort to hightail it out of there before his brother realised where he was. This whole secret thing was a pain in the backside but they’d done it to protect everyone involved, it was only bound to blow up if the truth came to light. But when Cal looked over to her, sat there waiting for him to deliver the devastating blow he just thought ‘fuck it’, he couldn’t keep saying no. “Only if you can give me a lie that Dunk’ll believe,” his expression was soft, betraying the fact that he was completely on board with keeping his brother in the dark.

Only one time did the two of them have sex without a condom - backstage at NXT a while back - and this happens as a result. Punk wasn’t so sure what their relationship was at this point but he knew things were about to change. For the better or for the worse, Punk wasn’t so sure. “It’s mine, isn’t it?” he asked following a deep breath. They never really established if they were exclusive pr not so she could’ve been running around with another man for all he knew.

Punk knew it wasn’t exactly HIS fault that she got pregnant when it was the both of them who consented to sex without a condom but he still felt terrible that she was stuck in this position. It’s been a while since he’s found himself caring about someone this deeply but still. She was a young, super talented woman who should’ve been exploring the world. Not stuck at home, pregnant, with a child on the way to a man who she wasn’t even married to. Not to say Punk was one of those who believed you needed to be married to have a kid, but still.

His arms crossed over his chest as he leaned his shoulder against the wall. Olive orbs looking at her. For once, he was speechless. What exactly was he supposed to say? That no one will remember her when she comes back? If she’s able to come back? There were no guarantees in wrestling. Not unless you were a superstar along the lines of The Rock, John Cena, and so on. 

Punk took a deep breath as he finally spoke up. “You’re not gonna get left behind, kid,” he said to her. With promise in his voice, no, but there was some hope in there. “No one’s gonna forget about you. You were a bright star with a brighter future and you still are. People are gonna be buzzing when they see you kicking ass back in the gym and in the ring. I don’t know where that’ll be ‘cause...” he paused. His hand came to the back of his neck as he scratched the skin. Now might not have been the best time to bring this up but he was already halfway through his sentence. He couldn’t just stop and hope that she’d not pester him to finish that.

“... cause we’re gonna have to figure out if you plan on comin’ to the states for good or do you plan on going back to England when the baby is eventually born. Personally, I think you’d be better off here. There’s more potential in the WWE here in America than in England. Not to mention... I’m here and I’m not moving to fuckin’ England. Fuck, I know we’re not married. I don’t even know if we’re officially dating. But I wanna be here to help as much as I can.”

Punk wasn’t much of a cook unless it came from one of those pre-arranged meals that wrestlers commonly bought to bring on the road with him. It’s one of those things that he could never find his rhythm with. Sometimes, he was one of those people who could somehow burn water. It was something Punk knew he’d need to get better at sooner rather than later. Especially when the two of them had a child on the way. “I cooked you dinner? No. I wish. I’m not much of a cook,” the Chicagoan said as he set her a plate of food down on the coffee table in front of the couch where she once slept. “I ordered something while you were napping and figured I’d make it look a little more presentable.” His plate was set down with hers before he excused himself back to the kitchen where he grabbed two forks and then two glasses of water as well. Things between the two of them have become so much more serious as of late. Ever since she told him the news. You’d almost assume they were a couple by now. “Need anything else before I sit down?” Punk wondered, trying to be as selfless as possible for once in his life.

Ever since losing that I Quit match to Kay Lee Ray a little while ago. He wishes that he could’ve been there for her more, but he’s been so focused on getting his own career back on track that he’s had so little time to focus on anything else. Maybe he should’ve extended an invitation to offer that she talks to Seth... but at the same time, he wasn’t so sure if that was the best idea right now. Especially when Seth has been so obsessed with Kevin Owens that it’s cost them the RAW Tag Team Championships. “Just relax, alright?” he said, about to reach his hand out to her again.

Here.” Nattie handed the younger blonde      her rightful blanket, which was zebra printed, then grabbed her leopard print one before    joining Toni on the couch. “You uh, feeling okay, hun? Your mood’s a lot different than the       last time we talked.” Cue the veteran’s motherly instincts kicking in— she could notice          in her body language and lack of enthusiasm in her voice while they were binge          watching shows together. “If you don’t wanna watch anymore we don’t have to.”

who reaches out to new neighbors: Toni without a doubt. Punk is sociable but not the ‘let me introduce myself to the neighbors’ kind of sociable. She’d have to drag him along more than likely.

who remembers to buy healthy food: Both of them would remember. Both of them are always actively trying to be in shape so it’s going to be something they both remember, of course.

who remembers to buy junk food: Punk. 110% Punk. Especially if it’s ice cream.

who fixes the oven when it breaks: Punk would insist that he knows how to fix it and he’d try his very best to fix it. Sometimes it works but most of the time, Toni has to call someone when he’s not looking.

who waters the plants/feeds their pet(s): If it’s a plant then it’s probably Toni because Punk could figure out how to let a fake plant die. If it’s a pet then it’s both of them.

who wakes up earlier: I mean... Toni, but that’s because there are some nights where Punk just doesn’t sleep. So yeah, I guess the answer would be Toni.

who makes the bed: Punk

who makes the coffee: Both of them because of Keurig machines. They make their cups of coffee as they go. Neither of them owns an old-fashion traditional coffee pot anymore.

who burns breakfast: Punk would somehow burn the food.

how do they let each other know they’re leaving the house: Toni would probably come up to him and give him a goodbye kiss. Punk would just shout and hope she hears him. 

how do they greet each other when one of them gets home: Punk is casual about it. Says ‘hi’ and then greets Larry. Toni demands every last bit of his attention.

who brings home little gifts like flowers/chocolates more often: Punk

who picks the movie for movie night: Both of them. It’s kind of back-and-forth, sometimes it’s one of their choices and sometimes they both agree on something.

their favorite kind of movie to watch: Horror, maybe? or comedy.

who first suggests a pillow fort: Toni. Toni. Toni.

who builds the pillow fort: Still Toni.

who tries to distract the other during the move: Punk

who falls asleep first: Toni

who is big spoon/little spoon: Punk is the big spoon while Toni is the little spoon. Sometimes Toni likes to cuddle up to Punk in bed and attempt to be the big spoon but nah. Punk enjoys having her ass up against his crotch too much to let her be the big spoon.

Losing a match that was arguably must-win was always crushing - especially when you were an up-and-coming superstar in the business like Toni but the last thing he wanted to hear was some ‘woe is me’ bullshit about how terrible we should feel for her. Punk rolled his eyes, crossed his arms, and sighed. “Cut the bullshit, Storm,” he said, speaking to her in a tone that was filled with annoyance already. “You lost one match. One match. You’ve got time to bounce back from that loss. You’re twenty-four years old for fuck sake.” It was a conversation a little more serious than what he was used to having with her but maybe, deep down, he did care about her and her career. “I care, and maybe I’m not good at making that obvious but trust me when I say I care.”
