Desperately love my ships of

On this day five years ago
I was thinking about my Plance Corpse Bride AU recently and I ended up sketching these after redesigning Pidge’s dress
“You even have my gills!”
I wanted to re-visit the soulmate idea by egglet/ @kattmeithmath and half-jokingly wondered what if she also ended up with his gills and instead of having gills, Lance had Pidge’s skin color surrounding where the gills should be.
A human who can’t completely live on land and a merboy who can’t completely live underwater.
I dunno. I was just glad to temporarily get over an artist block. XD
[ID] Two separate pictures. The first picture is of a young Lance (as a merboy) caught in a net smiling excitedly and holding onto the rope as he says, “It’s you!” He has fins for ears and fins and scales along his arms. He has two spots on his arm paler than the rest of his skin, suggesting he has parts of Pidge’s skin as a soulmate mark. The second picture is of a young Pidge with a mildly shocked expression holding her hands to her neck. She has some scales on her shoulder and along her arms that matches the scales on Lance’s arms. The dialogue, continuing from the first picture, says, “my soulmate” [/end ID].
