This is probably gonna be a really unpopular opinion but I feel like people here aren’t curious enough about Priya’s upbringing like we know it was awful but I barely see it discussed in more detail other than the fact it compels her to win and I get it but sometimes the nature of the training is so dismissed like apparently (I get this is a cartoon ok) we can acknowledge she was endangered and literally put in survival situations but because of its extreme nature it’s never the part that people looked deeper into, but I feel like that’s part of the intriguing part and because it has to be dismissed people don’t see the difference between it and winning at literally anything else competitive. The concept of being raised like this for extreme reality show challenges actually has a lot of things to it to consider other than thinking “imma win” but I doubt anyone here understands at this point. But you gotta admit it’s jarring to have it claimed as the most traumatic upbringing yet so many find it boring because they somehow can’t understand how it’s traumatizing beyond being hard, and then someone else from another series experiences a fraction of her upbringing and it’s psychological effects and factors get analyzed to hell. no one else probably cares or understands what I’m trying to say here but it’s weird when a character is so intriguing due to something extreme yet no one seems to be interested in the extreme part. Especially since being raised for a deadly reality show is actually more grounded than magical stuff yet in so many latter cases the fans over analyze every little detail to how it would be taken in real life.
