QoAaD Theory
Okay so bear with me. I just watched a video about the spring 2019 preview of QoAaD?? That Cassie speaks in and she says that by the end, the place the shadow hunters live, the way they’re governed and who governs them this all sort of changes which is why the tag line for QoAaD is ‘everything changes’. And now is where my thoughts all get a bit rambly. I reckon that as some other theories have suggested, there will be a battle in Alicante with the Unseeliw King that leaves it looking sort of like the parallel to the Alicante that the TMI gang saw in Edom. So essentially Alicante may not end up as bad as the Edom!Alicante (if the shadowhunters accept the help of the downworlders) (a separate theory) but Alicante is still left in bad shape. This means that the shadow hunters have to find somewhere else. Caddies mentions that QoAaD tales place in a new magical place called Thule and that she hopes we love it as much as she does. Maybe the changes are that the shadowhunters end up not having Alicante to go back to and have to find somewhere to live, possibly Thule? And the snippets with Alec being nominated for Consul, maybe that’s who the new person in power is and ‘everything changes’ because after this possible second battle of Alicante the shadowhunters realise they need the help of the downworlders and start a new chapter where they have a loving government/clave rather than a prejudiced one?
Idk I could be clutching at straws here or projecting bc I want my baby’s to get the happy endings they deserve.
