{Masterpost Here} {All Art Here}
BNHA | TodoDeku | Musician AU | T
Midoriya Izuku had dreams once of taking the music world by storm; now heâs just trying to keep his head above water and the bills from piling up. In an effort for extra cash he rents out his spare bedroom on Airbnb, and winds up hosting a striking young pianist who introduces himself only as Shouto. Shoutoâs coldly polite, highly mysterious, and unwittingly determined to drag out all of Izukuâs once buried ambitions, whether Izuku likes it or not.
Chapter 9 of @ladyhoneydarlingloveâs fic for the @tododekubigbang is now up! Â
âHello,â a voice suddenly sounds. Izuku screeches, flinching, and knocks over the chair.Â
A light flicks on, revealing the apprentice from last time - Shouto, heâd called himself.Â
Heâs sat cross legged on a chair, a paper bag in his lap and a doughnut in hand.Â
âWereâŠâ Izuku squints at him, âwere you just sat in the dark waiting for me?âÂ
Shouto shrugs and takes a bite out of the doughnut.Â
âWe have got to stop meeting like this.â
Iâm so happy to be posting my first illustration for @itsmyfridge âs sidekick!AU, How to Be a Sidekick!! Itâs so funny and heartfelt at the same time, poor Todoroki just needs a hug and a friend .. ; m ; itâs such a fun balance of internship woes, high stakes hero drama, and (tears up) LOVE .. ITâS WONDERFUL!!!! ; V ; PLEASE GO CHECK IT OUT!!!!!Â
Iâm very excited to reveal one of my submissions for @tododekubigbang !! I worked with the ever so wonderful @cipheredsong on the fic to be a hero for which is an amazing and emotional piece which i definitely recommend giving a read!!
Thanks to the mods for putting this fab bb togther and thank you to all the participants for producing brilliant works that i love!!
Iâll put the summary here:
The world is filled with soulmates. Some of them are close together, others are separated by oceans. Thereâs sometimes little that people have in common, when it comes to soulmate connections - some connections work like telepathy. Others allow soulmates to communicate by writing on their skin.
Midoriya Izuku has an emotional connection to his soulmate. But when heâs very young, something happens, and his soulmate pulls away from him. Their connection becomes distant. He vows to be a hero, now not just for himself, but for his soulmate.
Todoroki Shouto has an emotional connection to his soulmate. But when his mother pours boiling water on his face, he shuts himself down. He can be nothing good for his soulmate, and they can be nothing good for him.
When youâre connected via emotions, though, it becomes difficult to ignore each other. And Izuku and Shouto are slowly drawn back together, until they realize that they were always closer to each other than they knew.
Honestly, it has been amazing to work with @hanwritesstuff and @khaleisey!! Please go check them out! I was really lacking time so I had rush them a bit and Iâm extremely for that. Nevertheless, I hope you guys still like it!!

Hot days werenât exactly rare, they came and went, leaving behind sweat-slick skin and hair uncomfortably stuck to it, nights becoming a little less restful and a just a little longer. This, however, had waves lifting off the patches of the common roomâs tiles that were lit by the scorching sun, rendering some of the most promising heroes in training useless as they sprawled across the floors in search of the increasingly rare cool surfaces. Most of Class A was in the common room, being that it was a weekend and it was their day off. Usually this would be a time that some of them would use for studying, however, with temperatures like these, their brains were busier trying not to cook inside their skulls rather than thinking about how in hell youâre supposed to find âxâ. Especially when the AC seemed to have been broken since the beginning of the semester and no one made any move to fix it.
Kirishima had taken to lying face down on the floor shirtless, hoping that his body heat would somehow conduct into it instead of the other way around, only to be thwarted by the Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics. Kaminari had to be dragged away from the open fridge a few times by Iida, who insisted that such shameless waste of energy was unbecoming of a hero in training and that it was their duty to protect the planet as well as people.
Meanwhile, Kacchan was off to a corner pretending not to be sweating buckets or even remotely affected by the unbearable heat while Tokoyami was simply melting into a puddle of bird in the darkest place he could find. Most of the others were gathered around all the fans Yaoyorozu had created to plug into all the available outlets in the room, their moans barely audible over the continuous rattling. Still, it wasnât nearly enough. Izuku groaned, feeling the sweat running down his back under the thinnest tank-top he could find that morning and the shortest shorts he was willing to wear in public.
The only person who seemed to have no trouble whatsoever, was the one and only Todoroki Shouto, sitting majestically and completely undisturbed in his temperature regulating glory with a pair of sweatpants and a white t-shirt. Everyone eyed him with ill-disguised jealousy as he lounged on one of the couches no one dared to go near, because as Ashido put it, âoh god itâs too hot for any kind of fabric to touch my bodyâ. He was reading some book for their Literature class that no one else had the energy to even look at, let alone pick up and focus on.
Izuku had half a mind to go up to Todoroki and ask him to lend him his right side for just a moment, the blistering heat having reduced his brain to such base instincts. Luckily, he still had a sliver of a relatively conscious conscience that told him that was a terrible idea. As much as their friendship had deepened in the past year or so, he knew better than to objectify Todoroki like that. Endeavor already treated him like a possession more than a son and asking to use him for his quirk was really not going to help with that particular situation. Still, that little part of his brain that was slowly turning into mush was growing increasingly powerful, the last remnants of Izuku's willpower barely able to pummel it back down into non-existence. That, in turn, left only enough of his reason to remain upright and not literally flop onto the ground and become the human equivalent to a dried-out slug.
It was by the sixth time Iida caught Kaminari sneaking up to the refrigerator that the blonde spotted Ashido with her head under the open tap in the kitchen sink and was halfway through a complaint that she was being just as wasteful that an idea suddenly popped into his head. He stopped mid-sentence with a squeal, squirming out of the class presidentâs grasp and running to where the others were passively accepting their fate of becoming a hefty serving of roasted heroes. They stared at him in exhausted disbelief as he made his way towards Yaoyorozu with a huge grin that had no right being on anyoneâs face at that moment. When he grabbed her arms, her face contorted into a disgruntled grimace, no doubt the sticky contact more than unwanted.
âYao-momo! Make water guns! Now!â Kaminariâs excited bounce almost took away from the downright demand that his tone implied. He sighed at the blank stare in Yaoyorozu's eyes, at the silent 'what' on her lips, before continuing. âSeriously, think about it! Whatâs better than spending a hot afternoon having a water fight?â Her mouth hung open and he took his chance in that moment. âThatâs right, nothing! Come on, please?â
Izuku, who just so happened to be hogging the fan nearest to the two, blinked at his classmate with an equal amount of disbelief to Yaoyorozuâs but then Ashido, Kirishima, Hagakure, Sero and, unsurprisingly, Mineta joined in the begging.
âGuys, is this really a good idea? I feel like we could get in trouble somehowâŠâ Izuku supplied, trying to be the voice of reason, his eyes looking to Iida to back him. To his horror, Iida simply nodded.
âActually, I think this could be a good exercise for our training. We could divide into teams, it would be a wonderful opportunity to not only improve our teamwork but our strategic planning as well.â Iida reasoned, his usual stiff hand gestures colouring his speech in a somewhat comedic light.
âWhat?â Izuku gaped, all the disastrous scenarios playing like a movie at 4 times the normal speed before his eyes. "You can't be serious!"
The last time theyâd started an âinnocentâ pillow fight, Kacchan had blown a hole into one of the walls. This couldnât possibly end well and here Iida was, agreeing with the lunatics that started most of the events that ended up with them cleaning the campus for a week more often than not.
âI agree with Iida-chan. This could be a great way to improve our skills as heroes. Besides, Iâm drying out and some water would be more than welcome.â Asui added to the discussion, much to Kaminariâs glee and Izukuâs horror.
âSurely, you canât be thinking of playing along with this.â Izuku turned to Yaoyorozu with his last shred of hope, seeing as if she didnât make the water guns they needed, this ludicrous idea wouldnât leave the common room.
Before Yaoyorozu could even think of an answer, Jirou piped in with a grin. âIt could be fun; Iâm bored to death on top of dying in the heat. Two birds with one stone, donât you think? I call Momoâs team.â Yaoyorozu beamed at her and that was when Izuku knew heâd lost this battle. There was no way sheâd refuse a request from Jirou. He sighed heavily when the water guns and balloons (grenades as Kaminari so expertly put it) started spewing out of Yaoyorozuâs exposed midsection.

Hereâs my piece for the @tododekubigbang!!
Thank you @snailyleoâ for your incredible art, which can be found here. You were amazing to work with.
And thank you @livinglittlelieâ, for beta-ing and having my back when I forgot how tenses worked. Bless you, you amazing human being.
Summary:Â Midoriya Izuku and Todoroki Shouto are a lot of things: Pro heroes, housemates, and secretly in love with one another (not that theyâd admit that.) Theyâre also shipped together by hero fans everywhere.
Izuku didnât mean to stumble across the Tododeku fandom online. Nor did he mean to start reading and writing fanfiction about it. And he definitely didnât plan to be the most popular author of the fandom, Mighty_smash.
Shouto didnât mean to start getting obsessed with Mighty_smashâs stories. Really, he didnât. But this Mighty person had really good characterisation, and Shouto really wanted to know how the stories ended. After all, if they couldnât have each other in real life, then at least Izuku and Shouto could have fictional versions of themselves that did.
Title: It Might As Well Be Spring
Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia
Pairings: Midoriya Izuku/Todoroki Shouto
Words: 10440
Chapters: OneshotÂ
Summary: With two weeks until the winter concert, an unsuspecting tenor falls for his choir's new accompanist, who has plenty to hide.
My piece for the @tododekubigbang !! Thank you to @snailyleo for awesome art and to @history-rover for beta work!
When Uraraka said there was going to be a storm this morning, Izuku really should have listened to her. He shouldnât have just looked out his window and thought, âOh, itâs not raining now so itâs not going to rain when I walk all the way across campus to get food before my choir rehearsalâ.
Because it is definitely raining when heâs walking all the way across campus to get food before his choir rehearsal. It is also very windy. And cold. He suspects a thunderstorm is on its way.
He can already hear Aoyama, his well-intentioned but eccentric roommate, telling him âYou should have brought an umbrella, mon ami!â
He does have a raincoat, which he supposes is better than an umbrella in the wind, but it doesnât really work either. His bag is already soaked, just like his shoes, and he canât go back and change now or heâs going to be late.
