It’s TXT appreciation hours so today we’re talking about how Cat & Dog really is that bitch. The whole thing is a mood (I wish every single day that I could live my dog’s life) but also these boys are so talented!!! It really shows off their rap skills, cause rest assured they all have them. Welcome to my ted talk.

Ok first, the Korean version. My mission statement in life really. I sing “feel like Cinderella naega byeonhae” to myself constantly. Personally the chorus on this version slaps way harder than the English version, feels more true to the spirit of the song. Plus there are corgis in the MV which is all you need to know really. Just turn on the subtitles and let the lyrics speak for themselves. And don’t forget to shout “let’s play forever I just wanna be your dog” at the end! 

Let’s look at the English version too. This one is from their US showcase, which was only a few months after their debut. All live vocals. On some of the stops the stages were too small. They faced some technical difficulties with the in-ears not working. Beomgyu hurt his foot, Soobin felt sick from anxiety, Yeonjun got sick and had a fever. And they were still turning out this quality performance, just a few months after debut.

I prefer the Korean version but it’s hard to pass up on Yeonjun’s “I like it when we cuddle” like his enunciation is top notch, he’s outstanding at making consonants pop. Beomgyu has a ridiculous amount of stage presence (I mean they all do). And as always, the choreo is intricate af. They work so well as a group, there are no weaknesses so they can do basically anything. Their choreo is extremely athletic and requires a lot of acting; at various times they have to be, in Jimin’s words, cutie sexy lovely. I mean they make a slide out of their bodies that Yeonjun jumps onto and slides down??? Wow.
