The Call

Caleb had finally gotten the call he had been waiting for so long his mom called saying his father had finally passed on and he could come home and she needed him to come home. But he needed to say goodbye to some people because he knew there was just no coming back anymore not to this place if anything he'd take his girls with him. Namine was going home to the islands and he'd keep in contact with her, but Callie and Nami were another story. "I...I need to tell you something."

Caleb didnt have time to tell anyone where he was going but left a note behind for Calhoun and Nami to tell them his mom called saying his dad had finally down and drunk himself to death and that she needed hi to come home for a little while. It was all he needed his mom was safe and that bastard was finally dead. He couldn't have been more happy about the news. Honestly some people would probably call him heartless for laughing about it and being happy, because no matter what that man was still his father but to him his father died once he started drinking and hitting things including Caleb. There was nothing in the world he could have been more excited to hear about and to finally be able to go home and see his mother was great news and he was very happy to do it if he was being completely honest about the whole thing. Picking his duffle bag off the floor making sure the note was visible to both girls then he set out for his car to go back home and be reunited with his mom.

Caleb was still flabbergasted that Callie had let him decide what to do for the special day. He had only ever done it once before and it had gone well. He waited until she left for work before setting up the apartment draping a red cloth over the dining room table, he made the place look like a fancy restaurant. He cooked the food and lite the candles right before she got back. Smiling as the door opened he stood in the doorway holding a bunch of roses. "Happy Valentines day beautiful."

Caleb had set up a bunch of lights in a small area in the circus back area. Only employee's were allowed and set up a nice steak dinner he had prepared for them himself, leaving her a note to meet him there when she was finished with work. He was standing there smiling as she walked up, "Hi there."

Seriously he didn’t know how it really started but the moment he knew something should come of it was when the kid trip him up. Caleb has still a broken soul and didn’t believe he really deserved love not after all the things he had done. If only he knew how right he was.

Walking around for his job like normal, everything was quiet that is until a small boy ran around tripping him up and he ended up bumping into a woman and falling, at the last moment he twisted so she fell on him, and that was when his cold heart started to beat again.

Everything they did was snuck around and in secret, he hated it. He wanted to world to know that she was his, if that was even true. Caleb was never sure if her heart belonged to him like his belonged to hers. When he rounded to corner one day to see her arms around another person his heart broke and crushed. She was in someone elses arms in the open, he felt the world spin and then everything went black.

He was woken up by a voice screaming his name and opening his eyes to find hers looking up at his. The fall did more then he could realize in that moment thought he had hit his head and split it wide open. Tears coming down his face his hand reached up touching her cheek, “I always will love you, I’ll search a millions worlds to find my way back to you.” Was the last thing he said before the world fell away forever.
