Week #8  - Main Challenge Results

This week our ladies were able to pull off their very best Angel looks, and it was pure heaven! Now let’s take a look at the results, and find out who really ran the runway this week.  

Oculus Prime,   will you please step forward?

Oculus, you warrior angel look slayed your competition. Condragulations, you are this weeks winner!

Adrena Lin, your look had the judges tickled pink. You have scored high! Gluttoni Sinn, your outfit was hot, but your timing was not. You scored low this week.

Lady Dee: You were inspired by old radio, but we’re not sure you dialed in to the right frequency this week.  I’m sorry my dear, but you are up for elimination.

Letha Lynn Jektion,  you’re blossoming as a queen, but you’re not fully bloomed yet. You’re low this week.

Lila Millisime, your inspiration for this challenge might be a bit dated, but your interpretation is totally fresh. You have scored high this week!

Blazen Haven:  According to the official TDR rules, tardiness will cost you one rank, and when a contestant submits late and is in the bottom two, they will be automatically eliminated. I’m sorry my dear, but your time in Tumblr’s Drag Race has come to a close. Blazen, from the start you were a force to be reckoned with, and thanks to your quick wit and southern charm you quickly became a part of the Cycle 8 and TDR family. You are a talented queen, and able to catch a few silver stars, but unfortunately, you weren’t able to snatch that crown. We thank you for sharing your talent with us and the world. Main Challenge #8: Victoria, What *is* Your Secret?

For this week’s main challenge, you will be creating your very own Victoria’s Secret Angel look! This outfit is broken down into two major components: the lingerie and the wings. We want to see the lingerie that YOUR drag character would rock on the runway. It’s not about seeing who can show off the most skin, it’s about showing the judges that you know how to snatch that body-ody-ody! We are dying to see that sultry, Victoria’s Secret silhouette!

Just like in the Victoria’s Secret runway shows, we will be expecting you to create a complete, cohesive ensemble. Your wings will be your opportunity to bring that fantastic costumery to your look! We highly recommend watching the old runway shows to get a feel for some of the concepts that have been used in the past. While some of the looks do feature typical angel wings, many of them have wings that are more abstract or showgirl-like! You have the option of doing any large-scale back-mounted accessory that you want; just make sure it’s a stunner!

Our special guest judge this week is no Angel, but her pie is a slice of heaven-- It’s Lacy Lane! As a special prize, the winner of this challenge will also be receiving a $50 gift card to Victoria’s Secret, courtesy of Harper Valley!

Gluttoni Sinn, for winning this week’s mini challenge, you’ve earned an advantage for this week’s main challenge! Your advantage this week is a time advantage!  This means your submission is due no later than 12:00pm EST on Monday, March 28th.

For the rest of you, this challenge is due on Sunday, March 27th, at 9PM EST.

In your submission, please include:

Two Headshots of your look (one of these must be head on)

Two head to toe photos of your look (one of these must be head on)

A 15 second runway walk set to no background music in your full outfit

A typed description of your angel look and why you chose it

A lipsync performance to “Legs“ by Laganja Estranja uploaded to the Tumblr’s Drag Race YouTube account.  Please use this version of the song.

Mini Challenge #8 - Victor/Victoria!

Hello ladies! You all proved last week that you can portray a character with your acting, but now we are ready to see you pull it off with your makeup! 

 For this week’s mini challenge, we are asking you to complete a split face makeup look featuring a male side and a female side. You are welcome to pick any reference for these sides (fictional characters, celebrities, original abstract ideas, etc), we only ask that one side be a human male and the other side be a human female, and that both sides are recognizable as such. 

We will be evaluating from the neck up, so while you do not need a costume, both sides must have some sort of makeup/special effect/head covering. Feel free to get as creative as you want with these, just make sure that the end product is cohesive and easily recognizable. 

This mini challenge is due no later than 6pm EST on Wednesday, March 23rd. 

In your submission please include:

Three pictures of your look: one from the front, and one featuring each side.

A description of your look.
