SOLEIL’S LOFT & STUDIO

soleil has two lofts next to each other in a building in upper manhattan. he uses one as his personal living space, while the corner unit is his studio. 

his personal loft is very industrial, with plenty of space for lounging and his own sybaritic nature

his studio is much more modern, with some sitting space, but most of it is dedicated to his art. there’s paint everywhere - it’s unavoidable, once you enter the studio, to come across much of anything without paint on it. at one point, the couch was white - now, it’s undeniably paint-stained, and soleil embraces the bright colors of the place; the opposite to soleil’s black, white, and browns of his loft

both his loft and his studio have his own paintings displayed on the walls. until he can find a gallery, he figures his best way of promotion is through social media and in his own public spaces.

he likes having people over, though he has some rules: shoes off at the door. don’t be a slob in bed. feet can be on the furniture, but not on eating spaces (the table, coffee table, no sitting on counters).

he has given out keys to both his studio and his loft to those he is closest with - tyler, evie, gabriel, and nathalie, notably.  (( @tylermaddoxx // @eeveeobrien // @gabrielvbeaumont // @natbardot ))

he likes movie nights with his friends, and he likes seeing his loved ones inhibit his space. he’s sure that, someday, as his confidence grows, he’ll invite many more of the corsicans over to share some wine.

- ̗̀  GABRIEL BEAUMONT: Upper East Side Manhattan, New York City, NY

The rare guests invited into the Beaumont residence occasionally find themselves greeted by Gabriel’s Birman cat, Enjolras. Occasionally his Siamese, Grantaire, can be seen prowling along the top of bookshelves, but tends to keep to himself. It’s best not to approach Grantaire, particularly in one of his moods, unless you’re Gabriel or don’t care much about having your finger bitten off.

His living space is reminiscent of Victorian-inspired living,filled to the brim with art and literature. Take a tour of Gabriel’s luxury apartment, from his soft white-gold lit bed to his personal library.

Cordelia’s Apartment - Task#2

Cordelia grabbed the first thing available after saving up her money on the street. Fortunately or not for her the unit was one of the smallest units they had at barely 400 sq ft. It still costs her over half of her monthly take in to have this place. Which is pretty evident if she ever let anyone inside her tiny studio apartment. There is no furniture. Some sheet curtains over the windows. Air Mattress usually pumped but runs fat occasionally in her living area with two pillows. 

Since the place is moderately tiny she has no problem with tidiness and making sure it at least looks livable. There are scruffs on the floor from the small wheels of her oxygen tanks. A place you can clearly hear that the people in Apartment B are reconnecting after a fight, or the pair in Apartment  D screaming at the latest elimination round of the Bachelorette.  

Everything is pretty minimal. The inventory in her kitchen consists of: 4 bowls, 3 spoons, 5 forks, 2 butter knives, a strainer, 2 glasses from work, and  two stainless steel pots she found in a dumpster behind a Macy’s. There’s a pile of past due library books  on the corner of the air mattress right beside the air pump. She has one working light fixture in the bathroom. There are failed attempts at decorations. The outline of a frame near where the bricks begin. A sloppily painted display on the bricks themselves in waterpaint, because she was too paranoid to use any other paint.

MATTEO’S SHOEBOX APARTMENT

matteo has lived in the same tiny apartment since coming to new york after high school.

with that being said, it doesn’t much look very personal.

he isn’t home a lot, and when he is, he doesn’t care to clean it past the point of it being hygenic

there are frequently clothes on the floor that need to be washed and a few dishes in the sink.

his furniture is all second-hand, without many throw pillows or touches of decor.

the front door leads into the living room/kitchen, which then leads into the bedroom.

at this point, you should be proud of him for having more than just a mattress on the floor.

SHEPHERD ESTATE ; -

located in Prospect Park, New York. Formerly under the name of Alice Shepard, curator and art collector. Bought with her husband’s blood money from the Bratva mafia. Inherited by her daughter, Andrea, upon her passing. Andrea formally moved in after her divorce three months ago. She is currently renting out one of the rooms to Marcelo Rodriguez. 

This is the house Andrea grew up in. Most of it stays boarded up and out of use. Lots of dead air in this space, lots of ghosts of memories in this home. Below is a comprehensive list of the rooms. Anything bolded means some part (not necessarily the entirety) of that floor is in use. click on the photos to enlarge them:

MONICA’S APARTMENT

she doesn’t spend too much time there - most of her time is spent with the italians or with alexander. 

her time spent in her apartment is to sleep almost exclusively.

she does have a minibar in case of the need to drink, which arises frequently.

most time in her living room is spent with anthony, when he breaks in. she has given him a key, but he chooses not to use it. (( @anthony-rosalcs ))

despite the lack of time spent there, she sticks to her living aesthetic - whites and blacks - because it feels like she has control of something in her space. 

don’t expect her to be there. most times, she’s not. call if you need her, instead.
