David's Tea: Tea Pop
I had to go to David’s Tea today for refills and they have conveniently released a new way to drink your tea today.
For those who don’t know, David’s is great for their “By the Cup” teas. You can use any of their blends and get it normal, iced or as a latte. And now this.
They are calling it a Tea Pop. It’s very much like a less sweet/syrupy version of an Italian Soda. Again, you can use any of their teas, but I suggest being a bit more picky for this one. (For instance, Cream of Earl Grey, while delicious, is probably not the best candidate for a Tea Pop.) The Summer Collection (which I’ll discuss sometime soon) is a perfect fit for this as well as any of their other fruity, tart or sweeter teas. I described the Tea Pop to a friend in one word, summery. It’s the perfect thing to drink on a hot summer day especially with more refreshing tea like mint based ones.
For those wondering ingredient wise: It’s your choice of tea (where ingredients vary so you'll have to check allergens), carbonated water and the option of agave sweetener. Normally I don’t do the sweetener, but it helps to balance out the power of the carbonated water.
I’m looking forward to drinking these this summer. I drank Lime Gelato today and while good, I don’t think I’d do this flavour again for myself.
