Authenticity over Sales
I love Adele, I live for her; however, the one true champion will forever be Beyoncé. Although "25" was very well-acclaimed and was certified Diamond, "Lemonade" was universal. Our country, controversial for its disenfranchisement for our differences amongst others, was completely woke when Yoncé's record was released by surprise. It unfortunately didn't go Diamond in its first month, but it has touched so many people's hearts and minds into this revolution during a dark transition of power. I 100% agree with Adele that Beyonce's record has made major impact on music, I just wish the Recording Academy can once again know that acclaims are more prominent than record sales.
