I'm only a year younger than you it's hardly a waste of our time to meet and be friends with people we wouldn't otherwise know in everyday life.

Very true! Especially since when you’re married and have kids (well, I don’t have a kid but you do), your time with friends seems to diminish. It’s nice to be able to have a place to hop onto when you have some downtime and talk to some friends without any crazy planning or scheduling for either person.
