Quick FYI

Hey all!

Many of you know that I am getting everything done to be a teacher. That means getting 1 more test passed. Which is math and I hate math. With that in mind, don't be surprised if I go days without being on and interacting. My test is on August 6th and I need to pass this one as I want to have my own classroom. Luckily, I have found a test prep company that is more than just answering the same questions repeatedly. I'm basically relearning math concepts that I was supposed to have mastered when I was in middle and high school.+

But yeah. Don't be surprised if I'm not answering asks, liking posts, or reblogging. I do love being tagged in things though so feel free to do that.

It has come to my attention that I can take the GRE exam to cover the math requirement for my teacher certification.

It is a bit over 200$ but I think it might be worth it.

For those of you who might not know what the GRE exam is, it is the exam you need to get in graduate school/programs.

You receive a score and you can't fail it because of that. Think of it as an SAT exam for college admission.

Now, I do eventually want to go to Grad school anyway but the fact that this exam could cover the math requirement is significant because of my low confidence when it comes to mathematics.

Just a bit of context, according to the FLDOE (Florida Department of Education) I would need a GRE Quantitative Reasoning (which is the GRE math exam) scaled score of 147 to cover that math.

I think I could do it.

UPDATE TO THIS DRAFT

So after I wrote up this draft (cause I was not going to delete this and write a new one)

It turns out that the information from the FLDOE is true. It is on both the FLDOE website and the one from the FTCE (Florida Teacher Certification Exam) Website.

This is HUGE information and it makes me wonder:.

Did they do this because teachers and prospective teachers are consistently failing the General Knowledge Exam?

Did they do this because it has become difficult to find times and locations to take the exam?

Will these questions get answered? Probably not.

But will I study the GRE Mathematics and take that exam?

HELL YES!!!!!!!

I have yet another teacher certification exam today. Fortunately, I actually studied this time and know the material.

Well. I didn't pass my exam. It was difficult but I'm not crying about it. Now I know what it looks like and I know what to study.

To those who feel like they can't pass an exam, you can do it! It takes a lot of hard work and time. So sometimes it feels like studying is for nothing, but it will pay off. You can pass your exams. It will happen!
