Out of the Sea is a wonderful Little Mermaid AU that encompasses everything you could want in a fanfic. Their work is angsty yet filled with fluffy, mutual pining, you can find in-depth passages describing characters emotions and feelings and yet just as well find easy-going dialogue that characterizes everyone lovingly. Their work is very much a balance between light and dark; backstories and the present being unfolded wonderfully, and I most definitely enjoyed their work very much!

I immediately fell in love with the universe that stanzas set up in both of these works! Unusual AUs are something exciting to read, and they definitely met the challenge in their dentist AU. A light, airy tone in dialogue and fluff-filled prose mixed with darker elements such as Victor’s disorders and Yurio’s adoption (the normalization of eating disorders, ADHD especially, was so, so lovely to see!) made for a wonderful read.

‘If music be the blood of love’ is possibly one of the most purely beautiful works about Viktor that I have ever read. They use a heavily expressive style alongside gorgeously poetic language, yet they don’t let that stifle the reader; relying on the character study as a springboard for their lovely talent. Another thing that surprised me was the wonderful use of music terminology to replace the epilogue – a pleasant surprise to end an infinitely pleasant story!
