Chris was hoping that this was going to be one of those visits where he’d be told that nothing was wrong with his daughter, and her constant headaches and dizzy spells were the result of spending all that time on the phone and in front of the television. But even if Lala didn’t say anything, Chris could see there was something wrong with her. That’s why they had decided to go to Doctor Maron in the first place.
“Hey doc, how’s it going?” As soon as Lala’s name was called, Chris led her by the hand to Teagan’s office, a warm greeting with a warmer smile while his little girl happily bounced to her own seat. “Quite the weather we’re having outside, huh? I hope you survived the blackout too. I...” Lucky for him, Lala interjected with how she spent the bad weather night with her best friend, trying to scare each other with spooky stories. He chuckles as she regales the stories, and his eyes fall upon the folder on her table. “Ahh, so...I’m hoping this is good news, doc?”
