A fic idea came to me since in my birthday fic Jaron was sad or not his usual self. What if in a different scenario to cheer him up, while returning from some mission, Roden takes Jaron to Tarblade Bay because Jaron loves the sea without telling him first?🤭 ( Jaron likes and also doesn't like the pirate camp I think as pirates are strange though he would go on trip or invite them to carthya. But currently he wasn't in the mood to go there anyway. ) Jaron probably starts arguing with Roden when Roden asked the carriage driver suddenly to change direction.
Jaron told the driver not to take them to Avenia, Roden said otherwise. Poor driver caught in the middle of jaroden argument. 😔
But in the end despite Jaron's reluctance and protests at first they did go to Tarblade Bay.
Why Jaron let Roden take him to Tarblade Bay?Roden's argument was probably let's go visit Erick( he is alive to me. Even if it's post book 5) and besides it does good to the pirates to see their pirate king.
Also Roden ( mischievously grinning): Unless... you want to give that title back to me. 😏
He knows Jaron won't, not even in a million years. And it works just as he thought since Jaron finally lets Roden drag him to the pirate camp.🤣 Though Jaron glares at Roden sometimes throughout their ride for forcing him to go there.
And also by the way because Jaron is angry at Roden for dragging him there initially, pirates wonder are they having a fight again?🥲 They literally apparently had a fight in tck too. So pirates are just confused wondering what's their relationship status now?
This is what happens when Erick greets them.
Erick: Didn't expect you two to come here.
Jaron: Me neither. ( glared sideways at Roden.)
Other pirates( especially Teagut): ???
Anyway their Tarblade Bay hang out ( or date whatever you call it) works out well later and being near sea fixes Jaron's mood. But pirates are horrible singers interrupting jaroden time sometimes. They will sing wellerman here too! I never get tire of thinking pirates singing wellerman.
