Finally posted the songfic based on the song The King by Conan Gray! (You don't need to know the song, but you can listen to the song if you want to.💙)

It is post half-canon book 4-5 fic and i think it lowkey fits Swoon june prompt: Crush for Wilta/Roden which was all that was I suppose. Actually Roden has a bigger crush on Jaron. 🤭

Summary:

After the Prozarians had left Carthya Roden wonders if he ever loved Wilta. Was it only a crush? He didn't know whom he loved. In the end somehow he always returned to Jaron no matter how hard he had tried to do otherwise. Also he had been imagining Jaron in his head a lot more lately. Even when he wasn't here. He didn't know why. Jaron told him that the answer was right before him all the time.

When Roden didn't answer, a beat later Jaron grinned. “I'm king Roden. But not just king. I'm your King.”

Roden blinked at that, confused. “That's it?”

He nodded. “Yes you should already know that by now. You said so yourself when you swore your loyalty to me at the pirate camp, remember?”

Finally Jaron said with a broad grin on his face. “You obviously love me.”

Roden's eyes widened as he stared at him, certain he had heard it incorrectly. He didn't know what to say to that but now there was no doubt that he was dreaming and this Jaron, standing before him was not real and only existed in his head. Roden knew the real Jaron wouldn't say this. Right?

Unwilling to continue this conversation with the Jaron living in his head, Roden turned to leave but he heard Jaron’s voice call his name which caused him to stop.

“Wait. Why are you leaving?”

Roden closed his eyes, somehow exasperated at that question. He stayed where he was and didn't look back. 

A beat passed, then Jaron added. “I know you had wanted to be in a relationship with Wilta. Or maybe you liked Serena. But trust me when I say they were nothing more than mere attraction. Those were just crushes. Fake. That's all they were and that's all your future crushes on other boys and girls will ever be.”  Roden huffed. “You don't know that.”

“Oh I sure do know that. How many times in the past have you tried to fight me Roden? More than once as far as I remember. You pretend you could leave me and have your way but you can never do that. For all your big talk, you always come back to me in the end. Don't you?”

I feel Jaron can say he is king and so he gets the bed but also he did sleep on the floor as Sage in book 1. Then again he doesn't sleep at night and usually sneaks out.

My TAS queens! 💙 ( Amarinda, Erin and Wilta.)

I just put together the fanarts I made of them together as they are my favorite female characters. I don't know why I love Wilta so much ( I am not usually a villain lover).

I drew princess Amarinda because I love kind princesses due to childhood movies nostalgia.( after all the habit of drawing tas characters began with me randomly wanting to draw Amarinda. 😆)

I think of queen Erin everyday even if we don't see her. 😭

Tas modern au high school headcanons part 2

In school presentation Jaron would just use Darius's presentation from when he was in Jaron’s class and when asked why does it look familiar later by someone, Jaron replied that it's not that history cannot repeat itself. 🤷‍♂️

During a presentation if Tobias is the one who made the slides half of the group especially Roden can't even explain it. (You need to study a lot and do more research to explain them. 🥲) I am pretty sure Jaron switched and changed the slides because even he doesn't know what Tobias wanted to tell.

Also Tobias's slides feel boring to many as it's informative with a lot statistics most of the time.

Tobias's handwriting isn't that good as it's is already similar to a doctor's and most people can't read it.

In a spelling bee competition in school, Tobias can even spell the hardest and the longest word that no one knows about or has ever heard before correctly. Actually even if the teacher doesn't ask him to he ends up giving the whole meaning of the word.

Roden would complain later about being given a hard word and others being given an easy word if he cannot spell it.

I am sure Jaron at least once misheard a normal word in spelling bee as a cursed word. ( considering how much he curses. ) He was like shocked and confused like why would the teacher give that word to him. He misheard it even after asking the judge to use it in a sentence. Lol.

Sometimes others misheard the word too like Jaron. So Jaron isn't the only one who heard the word wrong. (Roden is definitely among them.)

Though I think sometimes without even knowing the word or its meaning Jaron can magically spell a word correctly, shocking others.

Jaron definitely stole question papers once from the teacher's room (or more than once) and gave it away to his friends so that they can pass the test. (He himself can pass the test as I said he gets decent marks even if he isn't serious without stealing but he was curious about the questions.)

Jaron probably led a group to cheat during exams. 🥲 (Tobias refused to be part of it and so did the girls except Wilta perhaps. Okay I feel Serena might want to participate too.)

Jaron's least favorite subject is history I think. He falls asleep most of the time during that class.

Roden’s least favorite subject is probably either English ( as he isn't good at writing and makes mistakes) or Maths.

Jaron probably argued once with the school cafeteria cook for serving the students same food.

Jaron often falls asleep during school assemblies.

I think many students want Amarinda to sit beside them in school for obvious reasons. (The boys mostly. )

You should never let Wilta be in charge of working on the school yearbook as she won't let anyone help and might just make it mostly all about her. Lol.

it's never revealed in the books how wilta got her power right? i have this entire analysis coming up on how i think she got it despite her mother being alive, but it would be silly if it was revealed somewhere and i just missed it

As I said, I felt like drawing Wilta ( Even though I don't draw villains) 😅 , so I finally drew her. I think it's book 5 Wilta dressed as the Prozarian Monarch.
