I think some of the songs for the show The Descendant series(1-3) may work for Ascendance Series. Like I can't help but feel like at the end of the Captive Kingdom how Darius and Jaron might sing Space Between( the lyrics work so well). Or even the You and Me song sung by the entire cast. Like the middle portion it says: There's something special that I've learned
It's together we can change the world
Everybody's got something they can bring
When you take a look inside yourself
Do you wish that you were something else?
But who you are is who you need to be
Sometimes it's hard to find yourself
But it's worth it in the end

This works best for Roden and Tobias like how they found who they can be even when they wished to be something else like in the false prince
And the main chorus has we will rise up and shine part!. Works very well.
About the Space Between it works cause Jaron and Darius are staying in different kingdoms now and how at the end Jaron says he will miss Darius when Darius decided to stay in Belland and how Darius kind of say he will come whenever Jaron will need him at the end. And also yes throughout the whole book at first Darius had no idea what Jaron had been through.
Like the song even starts with "I didn't know what you

Why did you have to hide?"
And like the lyrics says "Even though we've changed
