At the Grand Bazzar there are "tea merchants." They provide tea to the other merchants meaning they take tea to them. Turks do drink coffee but tea seems to be the national drink. This kind gentleman offered me tea free of charge and asked if I was Nigerian (lol). The next pictures are of men playing the popular game backgammon (I haven't played in so long!) and street cats. They are ubiquitous and well cared for/fed by everyone. There's even a cat at Haiga Sophia that was petted by President Obama when he visited Turkey. I saw the cat but she scampered off while I was trying to take her picture. #istanbul #teainistanbul #istanbulhasfriendlypeople #grandbazzaristanbul #backgammon #guidedistanbultours #Africanamerican #africanamericantravelers
