It was a hard fight and a close win, everyone really gave their whole !

Hm... 🤨

I haven’t posted for about a month! The truth is, it doesn’t feel the same anymore. I don’t have my 2 girlies or my cranky boy. However, I am so so grateful to still have Albert with me. Those 4 were my original 4, and even though I shouldn’t have favorites, having that ‘group’ of hamsters was an amazing time in my life. Things feel different now. I’ve got Happy that I can hold if I want to put up with some nibbles. I’ve got Albert that I can hold but he doesn’t enjoy it very much (yes! Albert is tame!) Then I have Pie. I haven’t managed to build a bond with him at all and it saddens me to say it but he doesn’t feel like my hamster. He is very cute but he just doesn’t feel like mine. Then I have Ginger and Ocean that aren’t mine, but I feel more connected to them than I do Pie which makes me feel bad.

I miss Cloud splatting down on my hand and shoving all the food she could into her pouches. I miss Cactus running up and down my arms and firing food from her pouches all over the carpet, and sitting waiting for me to pick her up. I miss Bear glaring at me from across the room and screaming if I did something he didn’t like. I miss the days where I wasn’t checking on Albert and thinking ‘is today the day...’

But on the plus side, I’ve got 3 healthy hamsters enjoying life.

Our Discord Fanserver is organizing an Art Fight !

Last year, we had quite the fun time with Team Light ☀️ and Team Dark 🌑, and this year we’re doing it again !

The teams are going to be Team Cloud ☁️ VS Team Ground 🏔, or Cirrus VS Nim !

The fight will start on July 31th, and end on August 14th (it might get extended if there’s a demand). You won’t be able to join the fight or switch teams once it has begun so if you want to participate, don’t wait !

Short Version :

All mediums welcomed

Can draw OCs or GV (canon or AU) characters for points

Need to be at least 13 yo

Long Version :

What’s an artfight ? It’s a competition between two teams where you earn points by making drawings for the other team ! The better quality, the more points are earned !

Typically, the teams draw the other’s OCs for points, but we’re also allowing requested gloomverse characters since we’re a fanserver ! All creations are welcome, be they traditional, digital, written or even made with a dollmaker ! The point of it is to have fun ;)

The fight will start on July 31th, and end on August 14th (I’m repeating myself but it’s important)

The only restriction is to be at least 13 years old, as per Discord’s TOS. We’re also keeping things safe for everyone of all ages, so tell us what you’re not comfortable with !

Hey Mum, What Are You Up To? 🤪

Before I went to bed last night, I went about feeding all the hamsters. I gave Bear his meal, then moved on to Albert. I took his bowl out of his cage and placed it on the floor in front of me, turned round to grab the bag of food next to me... Then I see a little face peeking around the corner of my desk, and then stroll towards Albert’s bowl to sit in it! I was in so much shock I just sat and stared at this hamster that had just happily strolled across my floor without a care in the world! After I was finished gawping, I scooped up the hamster and went about identifying who it was... which took half an hour - not brilliant when it’s approaching 1am. It looked so much like Bear I was almost certain it was him, but they were handling so well it was too out of character for it to be him. I knew it definitely wasn’t Albert because it wasn’t a roborovski that approached me. It definitely wasn’t Cactus because she was watching me holding this other hamster while being absolutely stumped on who it was. Then, after hiding for this whole time, Bear sleepily stumbles out of his tunnel. Cloud certainly had some explaining to do after that escape stunt.
