How would your muse carry multiple items?

((While Working: 

Both Blade and Sheath would be similar in how they carry multiple items when working because they both have gear with precisely places slots for the things that they need.  Both have utility coats that have pockets for the things that they typically use.  Both have climbing gear, communication devices, lock picks, and other general tools of the trade.

For Blade, these are holsters for his guns, straps for ammo, ties for bombs, and straps for knives.  He also has small pockets for keys and syringes if the job calls for it; though, as a Runner he’s more likely to be in the thick of things rather than sneaking around.  If he’s under cover, he doesn’t carry anything except a pack of syringes, some extra ammunition around his waist, and his favorite pistol in a holster at his back.  Depending on the job, Blade may also carry a backpack with ingredients to make explosives or a sniper riffle.  It’s all dependent on what they’ve been hired to do.

For Sheath, his coat always has an array of syringes (ghost that he is), two guns in a shoulder holster just in case, and a bunch of wires and tech-gadgets.  If he’s going to be fighting, his tech will stay behind at their safe house and he may bring tonfa, katana, sai, or eskrima that have holsters in his coat.  Sometimes it’s unrealistic that he’d have planned to bring one of those weapons with him, but he’s trained using them, so he can utilize the space around him and make due if he needs more than his fists.

When Off Duty:

Sheath is economical and logical, always the man with a plan, so if he has to go shopping he has carry-bags that he brings.  He’s always brought his own bags, so California just passing the plastic-bag-ban in the recent election wouldn’t phase him in the slightest.  XD  If he has to carry multiple items in another way, he’d stack them or put them in a box.  Sheath would figure out the most economical way to transport them without much issue.

Blade, on the other hand, would forget to grab something to help him carry things with him or would just buy/bring that one or two extra books that make his load an overload.  He’d just try and hold it all, carry it while trying not to drop everything, and probably be cursing the whole time.  It’s also possible that, if it’s too hard or annoying, he’ll just say “Fuck it,” drop it all, and go sit down with a book in full resignation at such a “stupid fucking thing.”))

biotite: the biggest problems my muse is currently dealing with

((I always have a running timeline for these two going in my head that has nothing to to with RP or any of my threads.

In that head-timeline Sheath has been out-of-commission due to a broken arm he got while being shoved out the window by Blade as a bomb Blade sniffed out went off.  The force of the bomb propelled them both out faster than a normal fall and Sheath, being the first one out the window and the large, acted as something of a mattress.  While the drop was not from a significant height, the same force that propelled them made them hit hard and Sheath’s arm took the brunt of of his impact as well as Blade landing on top of him, leaving him with a broken arm.  Blade merely got a bit singed and had to cut his hair, which hs grumbled about, but he’s altogether fine.

However, and this is something I need to actually make in its own post, Sheath being in a non-operative status doesn’t mean Blade is.  If another Team needs his skillset to complete a job, or if the Company needs him to fill in a gap somewhere, he’ll essentially be commissioned out. 

Blade hates when this happens.  Not only does it throw him off as, by the nature of their partnership, Epsilon functions as a single unit, but Blade knows the lengths Sheath goes to to keep him safe and sane, and that kind of care wouldn’t be present in other Teams, especially those who really could care less about anything other than achieving their ends.  These jobs, without the safety net that is Sheath, can make him struggle in a lot of ways.))

Have Blade or Sheath ever gotten close to a client by accident? Who were they? Did they remain friends with them?

((They have.  I posted this headcanon a little while ago that basically answers this question, but I’ll expand a bit more here.

Blade and Sheath both maintain contact with several clients and people they met while using an alias.  They keep up those personas in order to keep those people protected or keep getting information from them.  These are not real relationships, and neither really gives much of themselves.  Blade is more honest than Sheath, but only just.  None of these people would really be considered “friends.”

Both Blade and Sheath also have wards under their care who they provide and are the patrons for.  These are typically people who they happen upon during a job who don’t have families that would miss them and have a certain set of skills or fit psychological type that the Company is looking for.  If kids like this are a match, the Company brings them into the fold to be trained.  This is very much like how Blade and Sheath were both brought into service.  The difference, however, with the people they bring in is that they are their sponsors and get a certain amount of say in where they’re placed within the Company.  They also get to have a hand in training them.

This actually segues really well into the first thread I had with @cadenza-within-movements.  Due to Aleister’s past as revealed in the thread, Sheath was hired to kill him so he couldn’t testify against the child trafficking ring.  Due to the thread and Sheath not really wanting to work for child abusers considering his partner Blade’s past, Sheath switched sides and decided to take on Aleister as a client. 

What happened after this in my mind (which led to a really great idea I need to drabble out sometime) was that the ring was actually a lot more expansive, leading Blade and Sheath to completely destroy the trafficking ring, take over it’s connections, send the children home or to other authorities, and utilize the network for their own ends (aka. drug and arms dealing/smuggling).  During this long job, they came across three children who met the Company’s standards for training and being reared, and with no relatives looking for them, were taken back to headquarters and sponsored by Epsilon as the next generation of operatives.  These aren’t really friends, and they try to keep them at arms length, but being children makes it difficult, especially for Blade.

Having a client for that long, though, would and has lead to Sheath being in contact with Aleister, continuing in the current thread we have–“As if We Were Friends.”  This was purely accidental, but both Blade and Sheath interact with Aleister even if they don’t really always know how to reciprocate.  They do consider him a friend, though in a very accidental friendship.

Based on other RPs I have, there is potential for connection after the job is done, but as those RPs haven’t been completed and the muns don’t really headcanon/RP with me off-Tumblr to supplement threads here, nothing so intricate has developed enough for Sheath or Blade to consider anyone worthy of that more personal connection let alone someone to consider a friend.))

((How is Blade's life after Sheath's death? Do he and his sister get close?does he work?))

((After Sheath’s death, Blade and Elizabeth go live in Alaska (a place Sheath always wanted to live) and they live their days there in honor of Sheath.  So that no one looks for them or really looks into them, part of their cover is living as a married couple looking for a new start on a ranch with greenhouses, gardens, and animals–exactly what Sheath wanted for himself once he was free.

Eventually, living as a married couple meant that they had to act as one, and while nothing developed between them like romantic love, the two grew close just based on the simple fact that there was so much they couldn’t share with anyone else except for one another.  Leaving a legacy became very important to Blade and Elizabeth, leaving a piece of Sheath that was positive, so the two decided to have children of their own.  They end up having a baby girl, and they name her Madison.

Blade does also eventually work.  Part of Sheath’s escape documents were a degree for Blade in the Liberal Arts so that Blade could continue however he wanted and wherever he wanted.  The two stay in Alaska, Elizabeth opening her own small cafe and bookshop and Blade working as a local elementary school teacher, wanting to nurture new lives in recompense for taking all those before.

In the novel these two are going to be part of, it’s Blade who narrates the prologue and epilogue, telling how he’s writing a novel dedicated to his daughter and in honor of his partner, aiming to tell her their story through the best medium he knows how–the written word.))

why "epsilon"? (also I didn't really get it I think - does Blade make it in the end or not?)

((I’ll answer the second one first.  Yes, Blade does make it in the end.  Sheath takes his tracker and goes in the opposite direction, acting as a decoy so that Blade can escape.  He survives.  Sheath doesn’t.

As for the reason they’re team Epsilon, all of the company Teams are named after a letter in the Greek alphabet.  Because of this, there are 24 Teams.  The number of the Team is irrelevant to their status or how powerful they are.  When a vacancy comes up, it’s filled.  The reason they use Greek alphabet names is to date back to antiquity and the power and might of the first society and the top brass are all named after the Greek Pantheon of gods and goddesses.

Now, the reason they’re called Epsilon, really doesn’t have any profound reason. XD  I was trying to find the perfect number to call them, so I used a random number generator.  The first number that popped up was Epsilon, and it sounded really good to me, so that’s what Team number they became.))
