The thing happened!

The thing I’ve been reading about in other Pokemon Go posts! I went out for my evening walk, as I do, so that I can sleep better, and also catch some last minute pokemon. I noticed as I went that Team Instinct had been very busy as there were a couple of high level gyms about the place. I was just about on my way back when I noticed that one of the level eight gyms was almost at level nine and I decided to chance it. And when I got there I noticed that someone else had clearly had the same idea. 

And then we started talking! I never talk to strangers if I can help it! I will even go out of my way to use shops with self service tills so I don’t have to talk to cashiers. But we started bonding over the lack of Team Instinct in the world, and he was a couple of levels higher than me, and also had more gym battle experience with me that he as happy to tell me. And once he had got the level nine gym spot he sat and helped to get the gym all the way to level ten. At one point his girlfriend turned up to help, and he offered the use of his portable charger when it became clear that we weren’t going to make it to level ten before my phone died. So now I’m sitting on a level ten gym, and have a new friends phone number in my phone. :)
