What if Johto once had it’s own Criminal Team?
I propose to my moots a team for you all to use in a story set in the past named Team Jet. A long time rival to Team Rocket who unfortunately lost to Team Rocket and was merged into them.
Their colours would be White and Red and their main business was about using planes and jets to smuggle contraband in and out of Johto.(Whatever they smuggled will be up to you) Pokesnatching and Pokerunning, Waste Management, Game Corners and Loan Sharking.
Very similar to how Team Rocket made its money. Two sides yet same coin.
Like Team Rocket they were a Yakuza/Mafia esc criminal organization and they would go back to the previous century(Aka prohibition era or before) “Fun fact they were originally called Team Plane during the era of the Propeller engine but after the invention and popularization of the jet engine they rebranded to Team Jet”
If I plan to set it during the modern day, then it will star the last surviving family who survived the Rocket-Jet conflict whose motivation is reviving Team Jet as it was their heritage after Team Rocket was disbanded during the end of Gen 2.
And Johto is big on history and heritage but this might be one of the few examples of history that needs to stay in the past if you catch my drift.
