Harold being very tender with Root after Shaw shoots her. Person of Interest, 2x22 "God Mode" (requested by @ivanaskye)
Polyamorous couples never break up normally it’s always gotta be somethin like one of them moves to Italy, one gets shot on a rooftop, one gets immortalized in an artificial intelligence, and one gets custody of the dog

Person of Interest Fan Convention Vibe Check
Back in 2014, @mamahub put together an amazing in-person POI FanCon Meetup coinciding with NY ComicCon. She and her team wrangled actors David Valcin, Bobby Burke, and for the Baddies panel! We also heard from so many production and stunt crew members who were super generous in sharing the show from their perspectives.
POI FanCon was a blast!
Over 10 years later, it occurs to me that virtual fan conventions are a thing. Broadly, it's a weekend where fans get together on Discord, Zoom, or some other communications app to enjoy their show.
Scheduled panel discussions
Fic Recs
Fan art show
Fanvid show
Social hours
Themed games
Group episode watch
And More!
I'm throwing this post out to see if there's any interest in a Virtual Person of Interest Fan Convention. Or, if someone is already working on something, let me know so I can sign up.

Picture this
Reese and Shaw have to go undercover for some sort of fancy gala or event, so they go to change into their fancy clothes that Finch got for their disguises, a dress and a suit respectively. They go into adjacent rooms/changing stalls whatever, and then come back out moments later. The dress is too big for Shaw and the suit is way too small for John. They switch.
Now John is in the slinky, sequined dress, and Shaw is in the tailored three piece suit (Root was the one who got their disguises because she thought it would be funny to change it up on them. Her and Harold blue screened seeing the two of them in their outfits)
Roots ongoing insanity over Schrodinger's Shaw and not being able to find her is understandable cuz with the way she and the Machine used to talk about everything before Samaritan, she probably kept tabs on them often. Just that they were alive, or in danger, or relaxing or working. And the machine gave her that info.
Then Samaritan happened and Root still kept tabs and kept asking so the machine probably left her notes or Morse coded their statuses when she couldn't see them. Those probably got tricky and Root shortened it to be just about Shaw, because the machine would always make sure John and Harold would be okay.
And then Shaw 'went missing' and Root kept asking and the only thing the machine could give her was silence, because it didn't know how to comfort or reassure or find her.
So roots progressive loss makes sense when you think about her ever-changing identities, no real home, silent god. Her only real sense of reassurance was knowing how the team was doing, how shaw was doing. And with the frequency of Root ex-machina escapes, the machine really did make sure that Root could save them. Until she couldn't.
Root lost her link to herself, and then her God refused to let her risk herself and ignored her. Who wouldn't then start taking it out on numbers and enemy agents when feeling so helpless. A round of deadly chicken honestly seems like a saner route of the ones Root could have taken.
person of interest is such a funny show because every one of the main cast (john, harold, shaw, joss, even zoe) is bisexual except for root, who’s a lesbian, and then you have token straight™️ fusco
I don't think I've ever seen a show being more found family coded than Person of Interest
Strip the show to its bare bones and it's essentially about a isolated, traumatised guy who lost everybody, chasing death. He gets saved by the power of friendship, found family and adopts a dog. And I for one think that's beautiful
