Happy New Year!
Well, hello 2013! I hope you bring me as much luck as 2012 did. This past year was really great and life-changing. I graduated from college, moved over 1000 miles to the east coast to attend grad school, survived my first semester of grad school and so many other little things. This year, shall be challenging indeed, I can already taste the fear I have going into this year. So, I'm just gonna hold my breath and dive into it with all my heart and hope I come up for air on the other side, well and unscathed.
My new year's resolutions are sadly the same as always for the most part. Nothing special. Just hoping to actually accomplish a couple.
In regards to my hair: Almost 6 months post big chop! Yay! That means halfway to 1 year. Looking for some major growth between now and then. It definitely feels good to be past the teeny weeny afro stage, that was rough, not gonna lie. All the blogs and vlogs I've seen make it a point to encourage new naturals to enjoy their uber short hair. I truly feel that this can only be appreciated once you've gotten past that stage and detangling becomes a bit more of a job.. but until then, Grow, Grow, Grow! Like seriously, I wanna be able to wear a puff soon, dangit!
