It was 1992...⠀ ⠀ I threw a Disco party at my house. It was and still is the best party I’ve ever been too.⠀ ⠀ I cleared all the furniture out of the living room.⠀ ⠀ Created a 70s color palette of crepe paper I hung from the ceiling, covering every part of the walls.⠀ ⠀ Hung a disco ball in the living room.⠀ ⠀ Plugged in the fog machine.⠀ ⠀ Rigged a bubble machine on the roof.⠀ ⠀ Made a bunch of mixed tapes. Yes, tapes!⠀ ⠀⠀ My friends said disco sucks. I said pick a decade. I’ll take care of the rest. ⠀ ⠀ We danced till 4am. Then swam until the sun came up. ⠀ ⠀ I was convinced I was destined to be a party planner. It came so easy to me. I thought It must be a sign! ⠀ ⠀ I never officially became a party planner but I have always been able to visualize what I wanted to create when it came to my art.⠀ ⠀ My best work never had a concrete plan, but If I could see it. I could make it happen.⠀ ⠀ And if I trusted myself it would end up turning into something better than I imagined. ⠀ ⠀ The same goes for this moment. ⠀ ⠀ Welcoming the New Year, my switch in career paths, and all the amazing people I am blessed to work with. ⠀ Solidifies to me what’s to come...⠀ ⠀ The unknown is my favorite place to be. ⠀ ⠀ It’s full of Possibilities. ⠀ Fueled on Hope. ⠀ And driven by Dreams. ⠀ ⠀ Working for yourself takes a certain amount of patience, resilience, and optimism. ⠀ ⠀ And you balance all 3 areas you keep going. ⠀ ⠀ This year surround yourself with real SUPPORT. ⠀ ⠀ Find BALANCE in the day to day.⠀ ⠀ TREAT yourself when you know you deserve it. ⠀ ⠀ Most friends/family with steady paychecks or help will never understand you. It’s ok. They don’t have to.⠀ ⠀ But you need to keep understanding yourself. And remember why you choose this wild ride of being an Entrepreneur!⠀ ⠀ Because quite frankly, you had no other choice. If you don’t follow your passion you don’t feel alive. ⠀ I get it. ⠀ ⠀ Your gifts are needed in the world. ⠀ I see you.⠀ I support you. ⠀ I love you. ⠀ ⠀ So, guys ready to embrace your magic and share it with the world? ⠀ ⠀ Awesome - let’s do this! ⠀ #team2018
