Birds are always a either/or wrap. You either love them or hate them, something about the critters, and the soapy-ness that defines lb.... So, of course when pavo released lb butter a few weeks ago, everyone on #teambirds did happy dances (including me). First impression: lb butter feels much more dry and grippy than my very well broken in Love birds sargasso sea. But I can’t accurately prove this as my SS is currently in transient to our new house. But, thanks to a wedding and some awesome pavotees I was able to host dove. So, I’ll compare those two! Dove is only slightly soapy compared to how I remember SS. (now if you are comparing it to gotham, this wrap is drenched in soap but i digress) Both wraps have minimal all over texture which gives it a great amount of grip and glide. Both are moldable and hold a slip knot like a boss. My point is, i believe that LB butter is more in line with dove as far as wq go than old school birds and I am looking forward to seeing how it feels once broken in and ironed.
