One year down and I’m closer to that Masters Degree. We never got to share our experiences and thank the people who made this class memorable so allow me to share mine. . First: you’ll really learn how to be resourceful. As partial requirement we are asked to look into a company’s financial statements and apply management tools to solve a problem. Knowing that most companies do not disclose their details especially internal info you have to deal with the hand you’re dealt with. 2. I now understand why management decides the way they do, applying principles outside the four walls makes me realize why things are done the way they are, sometimes they are done in order to protect their stakeholders, the example I have in mind is Christopher Robin when he was asked to present to the board on ways on how they can reduce cost by 20% I won’t discuss the movie here but I could see how he considered the welfare of every employee using the data he has and the solutions he prepared, I am convinced he was practicing lasallian values 😉 . And of course there are so many people I would love to thank which made this class memorable, first Mr. Ancla for sharing his knowledge and made Management accounting a little less scarier, as I said with Dr. Manalo accounting has scared me because of so many reasons but he made it simple enough for me to understand and internalize that for me is a sign of a passionate teacher. Second is the class thank you for one hell of a term may we survive the rest of our stay, Third are my group mates aka #TeamClutch we did it guys manalig lamang 4.0 tayo 😉 and lastly that version of myself who made the bravest decision to move forward with Grad school, if we can make it up to that 2010 version of us, the catatonic, devastated and broken down version of us you know we’re doing him proud, ngayon na ako bumabawi sa kanya Dahil ang pinakamalaki ko nang naging pagkukulang sa lahat ay sa kanya. . .
