under the cut is a bit from an original project i'm working on featuring my oc circe & my dear friend's oc wolfric, set in a regency period! they're big idiots and i love them. no warnings, just pining and the kind of flirting that regency brings (i.e. touching is so SEXY) (feat. also wolfric using his General(TM) voice on circe she is a simple woman)

The older man regards her warily for a moment before he acquiesces; one of his hands holds hers, his thumb cradled against the curve of her palm, and the other attends to the buttons with practiced ease. Circe very dutifully does not look over her shoulder at where Inna and Wickman are still standing—and admittedly, even if she wanted to, she wouldn’t have been able to.

“Stop moving,” Wolfric chides, when she squirms.

“I’m not a child.”

His grasp of her hand tightens and he tugs, lightly, almost in reprimand—as though being closer to him could ever be a punishment, she thinks forlornly—and gripes, “If you don’t stop squirming, I won’t act like I’m enamored with you and fend off that nobleman you’ve been blatantly ignoring.” His thumb rubs against the love line of her palm, as though to soothe the sharp precision with which he had read her and then cut her. “Be. Good.”

Circe feels the blood rush scarlet in her face. Wolfric touches her with such an easy familiarity that it nearly stuns her into obedience, standing by like a placated housewife, thoroughly admonished. The moths flicker furiously in her stomach as Wolfric clasps the last button on her cuff, tugging it for good measure.

“There,” he announces. “All buttoned up.”

She clears her throat. “Thank you.”

“You are most welcome. Now, I can see you are absolutely dying to elaborate on your disdain for our lordly companion, so you might as well get on with it.”

🖊- her combat strength lies heavily in melee/hand to hand. she can absolutely find her way around a gun and still carries a handgun at all times, but her aim has never been the greatest. she forces herself into improvement a bit as she gets older and her fighting style gets to be too hard on her body, but she’s never anywhere close to skilled.

🖊- she would rather go without socks than wear a matching pair, and it’s resulted in the people around her swapping out their matching socks for her mismatched pair multiple times. she’s in no position to be picky about clothing, and yet...

🖊- she doesn’t sing in the car, but she’s a serial steering wheel drummer. driving is sitting a bit too still for her, so she has to move somehow. she also can’t sit in a quiet car without getting anxious. the radio has to be on, even if it’s down low.

🖊- she stole her foster father’s car when she was 15 and managed to make it to the next state over before the cops picked her up. she didn’t know where she was going, she just wanted to get away from there. her record has since been expunged.

oh no! D: hopefully you're feeling better by tomorrow! most people i know who had bad symptoms following the second shot only needed a day or two to bounce back!

Thank you. I am glad to finally have the second one as well. 

After the first, I had a little headache, but mostly, my arm just hurt like hell. 

After the second. I’m super sore and just feel generally UGH! The headache with this one is murder, too. 

I’m trying to just take it easy and chill. I got my second a few days earlier than planned, but thankfully I have the weekend to recover. So I should be more human by Monday.

Overall ... 10/10 would recommend.
