Hope you plan on sharing that Shoker fic 😏
Oh, we will. It's still drafting. I've been working on it all morning. And there are some pieces that will spawn from it as well.
It will be very fun. With these two parts, and the four-part piece I'm working on solo, there is a tiny bit of Shoker lingering in the future.

@laelior Thank you for reaching out. It's really quite great to be back into this wild little realm. I'm not so sure about work, though. It really feels like this particular parent will not relent until they can remove me from my position.
@amistrio Thank you so much, and hugs for you as well. 💜
@chyrstis and @heartsnbruises and @strafethesesinners Thank you all so much. I'm really pleased to be back.
captainsaku Oooooh, congrats V!!
shadoedseptmbr OH Well DONE!
chyrstis Congrats on getting it! That's seriously awesome! :D
shallow-gravy CONGRATS!
crackerdumortain congrats!!! 🎉
theoriginalladya congratulations!!!!!
Thank you guy! You're awesome. I was so excited. I really wanted it because it's a chance to be involved with district-wide curriculum writing and decisions. I kind of can't believe it. I didn't figure they would choose me.
Three-year teacher with a non-traditional background.
I was in a State Department of Ed meeting and got to listen to a group of teachers complain about the existence of people like me. So, to have been allowed this chance really kind of makes me even more about this opportunity.

I hope you can get in some more rest for your hands, and that you won't have too much typing ahead of the unfun kind! With course planning that's always easier said than done, but my fingers are going to be crossed in the meantime. <3

Same. The brace I have currently tips my hand upward rather than putting my wrist in a neutral position, which doesn't really help at all. And the splint I ordered that should have been here today has been delayed. So, here's to hoping it gets here tomorrow rather than on Monday.
Today, I just chilled and napped a lot since I finally have an actual mattress rather than a chair to try and sleep in.
I really would like to write, but I have to get the week planned, and with three preps that's probably going to take most of tomorrow.
Thank you so much for the well wishes. I'm trying to rest up.
This will be an interesting year to be sure.

I'm glad vaccination progresses in the US! Germany fucks up major about it, lets see, if we are lucky, people my age might still get one this year. Maybe not. Who knows.

There are some places where things are a giant cluster. And I can’t really say that getting mine has been easy. It took me about three months to get my first appointment when I was one of those “early access” groups. It’s no big. I have it now, and I should be fully immunized by the time our standardized testing starts.
As of now, I’m not sure how it is going to happen, but there is a chance it will take place in person. I’m willing to bet though, that have my students don’t show up to take it.
To be fair. My kid won’t be going to school to take hers. They will have to just work it out. Hell, this test has nothing to do with the students or their achievement anyway. It is just a way for the schools to be graded and given a letter then the ELA scores are always posted in the paper for everyone to get a gander at and decide whether they will send their children to that school or not.

Fingers crossed that you feel better soon. And congrats!

oh no! D: hopefully you're feeling better by tomorrow! most people i know who had bad symptoms following the second shot only needed a day or two to bounce back!

Thank you. I am glad to finally have the second one as well.
After the first, I had a little headache, but mostly, my arm just hurt like hell.
After the second. I’m super sore and just feel generally UGH! The headache with this one is murder, too.
I’m trying to just take it easy and chill. I got my second a few days earlier than planned, but thankfully I have the weekend to recover. So I should be more human by Monday.
Overall ... 10/10 would recommend.

They told us they were planning on selling the house ... now that it’s a seller’s market.
And as a household of people with concerns we asked that they only allow one person at a time in the home for tours, and only if they had no symptoms or fever.
Since we, you know, asked for notice and common sense restrictions on the showings.
Thus, we got their nice little letter. To which we are replying with the federal restrictions on evictions until June. Because ... rude!
But that’s the only reason. They want to sell the house and the house will sell better without us in it. There are seven of us, so literally every room has stuff, which can make the house feel a little on the small side, which means they won’t be able to convince people it’s worth what they want to charge.
