Truth. I stg I threw my hands up in the air in the theatre when he suggested destroying the Time gem and Strange was all ‘I made a promise, naw.’ 

I mean, look, they could have done the whole ‘it’s impossible’ thing, but since they needed young love drama or wte, they introduced this plot hole/character blind spot which drove me nuts. Also, call me a sociopath, but if it was something that would work, I’d be like bye bye buddy, fare thee well discount replacement JARVIS. But the reality is, as long as the time gem is out there, Thanos gets do-overs, so that’s the real issue, which means it’s really on Strange.
