Give Lu a chance!! Please don’t judge her too harshly
Lu is not as bad as we think she is because she does care about Guzman and she’s always there for him even though he acts like he doesn’t care or or pretends he doesn’t but he does. the point is that Lu has two faces one that she puts out to the world right? Like we all do and the other one is that she keeps to her self and chooses to hide for herself and maybe choose to show towards certain people like Guzmanin her vulnerability. Like in the episode where she sees Guzman with Nadia messing around by his pools and sees that he is laughing with Nadia and then lifts up her chin to show that it didn’t get to her or the other motives she carries. The other is at the end when she’s first smiling when she walks away and the vulnerability sets in after saying that’s she’s get competitive and it gets the best of her implying that ‘the’prize isn’t worth it. But obviously she thinks he is worth it to fight for him. Because we all know she isn’t the type to give up at the first sign of trouble. Im not saying her behavior is excusable but she is human like we all are. That she has flaws that make her hateable. I’m not saying that she isn’t a bitch because she is but she also has a side that vulnerable, but we all have that side out we show the world because we don’t wanna get hurt. Or show that we’re vulnerable to get hurt. All I’m saying is not to judge her too harshly tell we know her full story. All I’m saying is that she has flaws and imperfections that make her who she is, from what i gathered while watching was that’s she is alone all the time and that her parents are never home. Also in an interview the actress stated that her rock is Guzman and that she is a character that is always alone. That she will fight for him and no I’m not saying she isn’t racist, or manipulative. All I’m saying is she is human with more layers to discover in the next season. In which the writers, the creators said they would have the chance to explore Lu’s character more and hopefully see her in a different light than this season. I felt that I just had to defend Lu because she is one of my favorite characters from #Elite.
The final and last thing I will say is Lu had a superiority complex where I feel she compensates for the weaker or vunerable moments we see in the show. That she tries to cover up with her bitchiness and hostility towards Nadia. As she makes the bet with Guzman to further humiliate her or trying to bribe the teacher so she can and will always be the best in the class. Although that later doesn’t work out for her. Or the fact that she notices that the bet with Guzman is backfiring on her as we see when she goes to Guzman’s house and see that they are laughing and messing around. Basically having a good time and later demands why he hasn’t slept with her yet to further humiliate her. I saw this as a way to cover up get feelings that she somehow knows that the bet is backfiring and acts like a bitch. We can agree to disagree.
The interview I’m referring to is called ‘Elite’: Entrevista a Mina el Hammani (Nadia), Miguel Bernardeau(Guzman) y Danna Paola (Lu) by Fuera de Series
