Not sure I shall be quite so smiley & relaxed tomorrow morning, during the Team Margot Ten Miler in Richmond Park ! It's a sporting challenge with a difference - part of the entry criteria for all participants is to be on the bone marrow register. And instead of financial donations, we are actively inviting you to support with donations of a non-monetary kind: a cheek swab, spit or blood sample so that you can join the UK stem cell register. Find out how you can go on standby to save a life at: teammargot.com/how-to-register/ The Team Margot Ten Miler will start at 10:00 by Roehampton Gate in Richmond Park. The starting gun will be fired by the heroic Gavin Sandford, who ran 500+KM through desert earlier this year (effectively two Marathon Des Sables!) to help raise awareness for Team Margot. All are welcome to come along and send us off ! (there's a cafe to the left of Roehampton Gate, as you enter Richmond Park). Thank you to all the runners ! and a special thanks to the 30+ volunteers for giving up half a day & for helping out with the event organisation. Thank you Nadja and Angela from U-Shape for agreeing to lead the warm up (as well as run!) & also thanks to Beverley Szczech who will be taking photographs. Lastly, thank you also to the St John's Ambulance crew for attending and to the fabulous efforts of Nadia, James and of course Alison, from SKY.
