Man Advantage: a Harlequin and Hallmark Hockey RPF Challenge

Thanks to everyone who submitted (160!) prompts for this thing! Now comes the actual challenge portion. So here’s how this is going to work: 

- All mediums are permitted. Write or do artwork (bookcovers *cough*) or a mix or whatever, inspired by your prompt. There’s no word count minimums or maximums.

- Despite the name, all the ladies are obviously welcome. Woman Advantage! Basically: all Hockey RPF pairings welcome.

- Sign-ups close this weekend, on Sunday the 14th. If it’s Sunday the 14th somewhere in the world, sign-ups are still open. All prompts/teams will be assigned by the end of the 15th.

HOW TO POST: This challenge closes Tuesday the 30th. You may post your work anytime before/on the 30th. Give me a link right here if you want it on the challenge's master list. Post it to Tumblr using the tag ‘Man Advantage’ and/or post it to the collection on A03 if you are so inclined. BE SURE to include a note about what prompt you filled!

Regarding extensions: none will be given; this is not that sort of challenge! :D Post when you wanna, but the master list and A03 collection will only be open to those who post their work by the due date.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE in ~MAN ADVANTAGE~:

There are two options for participating in this challenge.

Track 1: Narrow your prompt selections down to to three. I am going to attempt to get as many of the prompts selected as possible.

If you want to join in for Track 1, send me an email at offstagelines AT gmail.com with your three prompts, cut and pasted, complete with the prompt number.  I will reply to your email with your assigned prompt.

Track 2 (ETA: CLOSED NOW FOR SIGNUPS): So, a common thing I see in hockey fandom is that it can be hard to get to know people here. If you’d like to get to know a few random members of our fandom as part of this challenge, you can work together in teams I arbitrarily assign.

- I will assign you teams of 4 people. I will try to group you by the pairings you’ll be producing work for.

- You get absolutely nothing if all 4 of you complete the challenge. That is the goal, don’t get me wrong - for all four of you to FINISH, but all you get if your team goes 4/4 is, you know, potential friendship. (YAY.) There’s no like, list of me being all: oh, ¼ of you failed so your team FAILED or anything...like...that. It’s literally just for you to get to talk to some new people in a hilarious email chain amongst yourselves as you work on potentially weird stuff about cowboys or mermaids. You can do as much or as little with it as you’d like - offer to audience, look at art, beta, read through each other’s work encouragingly as you go along, talk about the majesty of your pairing, why being robbed of the spin-o-rama for a penalty shot for the upcoming season is good or pointless...you get the picture.

- An additional incentive to work in the team format is that you can have any prompt you want; I won’t be assigning you prompts. HOWEVER. 

All of you will notice that there are four groups of prompts, 160 prompts in total. If you join Track 2, you will need to tell me what GROUP (A, B, C or D) your prompt is in. 

If you want to join in for Track 2, DO NOT email me. Instead, you’ll fill in this Google form.

NOW FOR PROMPTS:

There are 160 prompts in this listing, and they are not organized by...anything. Here’s how to work this:

- Even if a prompt lists a specific pairing, you can ignore that. All prompts are open to all pairings.

- If your heart is searching for something specific, just do a word search for, you know: “baking”, “prince”, “amnesia”, “vampire”...you get the drift.

- You do not have to follow your prompt exactly, by any means. Consider it...loose inspiration, okay.

GO FORTH and find the prompts of your heart, and then go figure out if you want to participate in Track 1 or Track 2 of this challenge and proceed accordingly. 

(If you want to submit more than one thing for this challenge, go for it. After you complete the initial prompt, you can pick whatever you want.)

New Teams!!!

So, rather than make an entirely new tumblr for each of the three new teams, they'll all just share one with Troubadour and Troupe... I only have two of their apps finished, though:
