Jon Snow in Season 7 was not Normal!
As a Game of Thrones fan in general why would anyone be happy with the outcome of season 7? This is an honest question. Are you a true fan of the show if you’re ok with how the show portrayed Jon’s character? The main character of the series! Fire and Ice and the future King of the Seven Kingdoms! Are you really a fan of Jon Snow if you feel like Jon’s actions were completely normal and that he wasn’t making stupid decisions even though other characters called his actions dumb? If season 7 wasn’t written like this intentionally for the purpose of season 8 then it’s just really bad writing! Nobody should want bad writing for the sake of a ship. Nobody should want a character dumb down for the sake of fan service. I personally love Jon Snow. I love his character and I love his growth on the show, but season 7 Jon Snow was peculiar to say the least. The truth of the matter is that if there isn’t a deeper explanation for why Jon acted the way he did and that everything is really what it seems then Season 7 was awful from a narrative perspective. For one of the greatest tv series of all time, we should all want better for Game of Thrones. We should all want better for Jon!
