Cell after her fight with brain washed Callie. It ended in Cell being put into a coma. She didn’t wake up until 3 weeks later. The coma is what cost her to lose the first 2 years of her life memories. She did have a lot of people visit her including her family and friends. Her injuries were more server then what was in this picture. Seeing her sister like this actually caused Mercury to cry, Mercury rarely cries. in her life shes only cried 3 times. In this AU Callie treats Cell as if she was a sister, not as her clone..

Time for a bit of a plot twist: Tho both Cell and Mercury were created to fight Callie and Marie, they weren’t meant to fight their originals but the other way around. Cell was made to fight Marie and Mercury was made to fight Callie. Cell could never beat Callie no matter how hard she fought.

Name: Mercury Dina Lockfin Nick Name: Hype Marie Age: 21 Species: Ockling (Inkling, Octoling Hybrid) Ockling number: 282 Weapon: Duel Splatter Pistols (Basically mini-chargers) Family: Father- Cecil (Ockling 601) Mother- Cyn Sister- Cell (Ockling 290) GrandMother- Mollius (Molly) Friends Len/Shiro Len Relationship Dating Ampth Lefire Octavio Personality: Hyper active, headstrong, and a trill-seeker. Bio: An Ockling (Inkling Octoling hybrid) girl, she along with her sister are clones. Mercury is a clone of Marie. Like Cell Mercury also developed her own Identity.  Mercury is a hyper active, thrill seeker, usually gets into trouble with other Squids. Unlikely Marie, Mercury prefers to get up in other’s faces when it comes to battle and tends to taunt chargers. Splatoon 2 Bio: She spends so much time with her boyfriend that shes completely forgotten about her sister. After seeing Cell in the hospital shes filled with emotions she hasn’t felt in years. She goes to Octo-Canyon to get her sister’s inksword back. Encountering Marie and making a promise to let the Splatoon handle everything. She ends up fleaing from a Brainwashed Callie after getting Cell’s broken Inksword. Extras: -The number 282 is branded on her upper right arm -Her favorite thing to do is free run/park-core. -She has trouble coming to terms with problems, she usually goes for action ASAP

Confrontation: Keeping it in the Family

The Story of when Mercury went to get Cell’s Ink Sword back

Walking though a building. reading off directions Ampth gave her.

“Why’d Cell come here in the first place, I know we’d intended to take over the Splatoon work from Callie and Marie once we’d had healed after we lost Dad. But why did Callie ask her to come to this place?” Mercury thought to herself.

“I mean Callie goes missing for a couple days, contacts Sis out of the blue, and then Cell is found beaten to within an inch of her life....” The image of Cell in the hospital still haunting her. Mercury starts to cry a bit “D-DAMN IT!!!! I should’ve gone with her!!!!” She yelled.

Finally coming to a large arena, Mercury looks down, seeing the where Cell likely fought and lost. Looking around, she sees her sister’s sword laying on the ground. “There it is, just gotta jump down, grab it, and leave! Easy!!”

Mercury leaps to the arena “Wonder why I haven’t seen any guards?” bending over to pick up the Ink Sword “Damn it took a pounding.. Ampth said there was ice around the place... Guess it just melted.... Cell... You must’ve been so scared... I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you when you needed me the most...”

She hears someone approaching. raising to her feet “Finally, what the guards on break or something?” she asked turning around before being stocked by what she saw “CALLE!?!? W-What the?!?!” after collecting herself Mercury rezoomed. 

“Where have you been?” Mercury asked and then thought “Somethings off...” Placing Cell’s sword on her back. Not quiet at 100% yet. 

“Give that to me!!” Callie demanded. Mercury took a step back. “Cell’s Sword, thats a negative, Cal. It stays in the Lockfin Family and you an’t in” Mercury replied.

“I’ve earned that, especially after I beat her-” before Callie would finish Mercury interrupted “WHAT??!?! IT WAS YOU THAT DID THAT CELL!?!?!?”

Giving a devilish smile “That weak clone of me? Yep!! I tried to let her join in but she instead choose to fight. How can she “Save” Anyone if she can’t protect herself or “drag me back kicking and screaming” when she couldn’t stand on her own two feet. Just one failure after another with her, man It felt great finally beating that crybaby in her place.” she laughed.

Mercury clinching her fist “Y-Y-You.... Rotten spoiled brat...” drawing her pistols “SHE CAME TO SEE IF YOU WERE ALRIGHT AND YOU BEAT HER TO NEAR DEATH!!!!” Mercury’s eyes turning gold. “and you enjoyed it!?!? WHERE THE HELL DO YOU GET OFF?!?!” Mercury screamed

Still smiling “Oh nice Marie impression.. What’cha gonna do, shoot me? Or dose are you scared of hurting me? I just got tired of hiding the truth, that copy of me is nothing more then a freak with my face and voice-” before she could finish

“WE DIDN’T ASK TO BE BORN!!! These fucking Octarians you now side with are the ones who did this!! Do you know what they did to Cell and me?!?! The pain, the sadness, the lies beamed into your head. They took one of the only squids that mattered to more as much as Cell!!! I’m just like Marie. Bottling it all in and hiding the pain with a fake smile.. Seeing Cell in that room, just laying there... I JUST WANT HER TO WAKE UP SO I CAN HUG HER AGAIN AND SAY I’M SORRY!!!” She Screamed.

She points one of her pistols at Callie “YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ITS LIKE TO SUFFER LIKE THIS, YOU DAMN SISTER BASHER!!! Not being able to live your life, no cause we’re clones of the fucking Squid Sisters all this shit just comes to us!!!” 

Callie’s smile faded “So... She survived and shes in a coma...” suddenly grabbing her head “IT HURTS!!!!!” Mercury tried to process what was happening with her. “GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!” Callie falls to her knees

Callie’s head jolts up with tears running down her face. Mercury looked down putting her pistols away “Please... J-Just leave... I don’t want hurt anyone else!!” Mercury closed her eyes “Alright...” 

She begins to count. “5...4...3...2...1..” as she counted Callie got up and began to run at her with roller raised up prepared to splat Mercury. Mercury dashes, right as Callie is about to swing down her roller Mercury jumps up and lands on the roller’s head. the resulting swing flug Mercury backward to where she had jumped to enter the arena. “Thanks for the lift, I’ll give Marie the 101!!!” 

Standing outside of the building Mercury looked about. “Damn.. how am I gonna break this to Marie...” She pulls out Cell’s Ink Sword “Guess it’ll be a on the spot moment....” holding the sword up to the sun light “Also gotta you repaired and I know just the Grizzco Employee that’d up to the task..”

She began walk with one last glace back “You hang in there, I’m sure Marie has something to fix you....”

Updated Cell’s Ref for her Splatoon 2 design

Name: Cell Verna Lockfin Nick Name: Sad Callie Age: 21 Species: Ockling (Inkling, Octoling Hybrid) Ockling number: 290 Weapon: Ink Sword Family: Father- Cecil (Ockling 601) Mother- Cyn Sister- Mercury (Ockling 282) GrandMother- Mollius (Molly) Relationship Dating Cameron (ask-hybrid-havoc) Friends Ampth Lefire Octavio Len/Shiro Len Personality: Shy, Nervous, Flow Tempered. Bio: An Ockling (Inkling Octoling hybrid) girl, she along with her sister are clones. Cell is a clone of Callie. However she has developed her identity. Cell is a shy, very withdrew girl. The one thing she hates is being starred at. Shes not as strong as Callie, but she is faster then most other Squids. Cell uses her speed to make a path for her team in hopes of inking turf fastest. Splatoon 2 Story: When she heard of Callie’s disappearance she went looking for her too. She was later found by her friend Ampth beaten to within an inch of her life. Cell Spent 3 weeks in a coma. When she woke up, she couldn’t remember the first 2 years of her life. Extras: - The number 290 is branded on her up right arm. - Cell has depression due to waking up during the memory transplant process thus realizing shes a fake - Shes often called Daddy's girl for her over reliance on her Dad Cecil.  - Her chest size is larger compared to Callie’s

Mercury’s Twin Split ability

Like Cell’s cryo abilities, Mercury can split herself into her Octoling, and Inkling hafts.

She can use this to throw off her enemies, double team them, and reasemble herself else where. She calls them Vice (Octoling) and Versa (Inkling)

Each can show different parts of her personality. She used this ability to get Cell’s ink sword back.
