WINTEAM WEEK

From May 1-7, in honor of Win’s birthday on the 7th, I’ll be hosting WinTeam Week, a biannual event for all types of fanworks in all languages. To inspire creators, there’ll be seven days of prompts spanning four categories (one-word, dialogue, alternate universe, and explicit), and when the week begins, all themed works can be shared under the event’s hashtag both here and on Twitter.

WinTeam Week was the first fanwork event I put together and modded, and to my sincere incredulity, this May will mark its fourth anniversary. It’ll also be the first time it runs with the series canon to serve as inspiration!

The official promotion post including the prompts list will be shared soon, so in the meantime, please reblog and spread the news! 🥦

Win stops breathing, mind shocked into quiet, his heart pounding frantically in his chest. All he can do is blink wide eyes at him.

“Hia?” Team gives his ribs a poke when the silence lasts too long for his liking.

“You want to have matching tattoos?” Win feels light-headed – which could equally be the lack of oxygen or the rush of emotion spreading through him. “With me?”

Inspired by LazySheep’s Hemp Rope bonus chapter where Win flies back from London just to hold Team’s hand while he gets his tattoo.

The world has different rules and parameters at this time of night, when the silence is almost tangible and secrets feel twice as powerful. Team doesn’t know what he’d call his mental state right now. He’s not asleep or awake, and he’s not tired or afraid, either. Every feeling he’s suffered tonight has long since collided in a starburst of stupefaction. All Team can feel are Win’s staccato breaths trembling out from Win’s lips as he holds Team as tightly as Team is holding him.

Win brings Team home. They hold each other together to get through the rest of the night.

I was just searching for something WinTeam-related on Google, and my own Twitter thread of WIPs showed up in the search results.

Fun Fact: The thing I was looking up is a comic Sheep drew where Team says to Win, “The reason all your exes gave for breaking up with you was, ‘You’re too good for me’, right?” and Win shivers and says, “How did you know?” This inspired the WIP on the right. <3
