Hi I just finished Choke Chain and Language Of Dogweed and it’s amazing I love it. I don’t know if you’re planning on writing/expanding on it but I like it a lot I have a lot of thoughts and questions. Feel free to ignore this if you want I’m just yapping my brain out. First of all I LOVE. Love Regular puppy Dennis he’s a little fucked up mentally but still he is so cute and silly, with regular I mean the Dennis from the chapter 4 ending where he’s like “damn what you did was fucked up but I’m lowkey into it if you let me have an actual life and shit”. Also love the chapter 5 ending and Language Of Dogweed as fucked up and sad as it is it’s an amazing read.
In both works I’m pretty sure you alluded to Robby maybe having been put in the basement just like Dennis years ago, I think it kind of was confirmed in Language Of Dogweed but I’m not 100% sure. I love LOVE that idea so much if you ever want to expand on that please please do! Ooo there’s so many like possibilities I love writing and stories and stuff like what if Regular Dennis asked Jack and Robby about it and they tell him about it and everything that’s gotten them here that would be great maybe chapter 5 Dennis would be curious as well after hearing the argument they had in Language Of Dogweed but I’m not sure if he has enough thoughts to connect those dots.
Oh yeah! We have Dad and Daddy in Language Of Dogweed but I don’t think Regular Dennis calls either of them those things in chapter 4, do you think he would call them that organically at some point? And what about Mutt, will Regular Dennis meet him or would Jack not feel comfortable enough yet for a while? Rabbot definitely have a very interesting dynamic going on I’m very curious about them if you would want to expand on their relationship more then please do we would eat it up!! It is late for me now I’m going to bed. Oh also also do you how do you think either Dennis’ would react to Rabbot getting him a crate? Your fic really has my brain going this is awesome!!!

I am planning on some expansions, but I got a little Stuck in the two in-progress fics (an LOD add-on, and Rabbot prequel) so I'm working on some other wips. But yes!! There shall be more to OCHL one day!!
Ch4 Ending Dennis is very interesting. It's sort of up to interpretation how willingly he went back, like, if it was a result of the abuse or him genuinely wanting to be back with them, but regardless he was quite reasonable with his wants! I'll be your puppy...! If I can still get that paycheck LOL.
With the Ch4 ending and connecting the Robby-as-Mutt dots, while it's not as clear as in LoD, I think we could reasonably speculate that Dennis is aware of Mutt, and also knows a little bit about Abbot and Robby's past together. I do think it'd be fun to imagine puppy dennis, as in within a scene and not mindbroken, playing with Mutt!! Especially with "handler" Abbot.
I think Robby is very naturally daddy, regardless of Ch4 or Ch5 ending. No matter what, he is Dennis' daddy. However, I don't think dad would come up in the Ch4 ending, and rather, I think Abbot would be sir, or master. Or even owner, though that doesn't roll off the tongue as casually as sir does
I think Ch5/LoD Dennis would be a little upset at a crate. What'd he do wrong! He gets the whole house, usually, and time to himself! I think he'd be very lonely and claustrophobic in a crate. Ch4 Dennis, however, I think would tentatively accept it, and maybe use it only at Rabbot's request--maybe, on rare occasion, get in it on its own.
