Sanzo is the definite leader of the group. He has this calm, cool persona that makes him very popular with the fans, and he's the most technical out of all of them. He's not the best with fans, but does suck it up and take pictures with them, though he really, really hates invasive interviews like "What's you favorite type of girl?" and shit like that because he's too busy being an idol who has time for that shit. Sanzo sings more hard rock than soft love songs and ballads, and he harmonizes best with Hakkai. Sanzo is a model as well, mostly because he can't really act that well so just posing suits him just fine. He's got a bad smoking habit, though, and Hakkai is always pestering him and Gojyo to quit because they might damage their voices. His color scheme is purple and sleeveles, since his arms and eyes were voted his best features. Sanzo dresses completely casually on off days and the entire group just gets this huge collective sigh.
Hakkai is the softer, gentle member of the group. The kind that all the girls vote as the Best Husband Material and is probably the most popular due to his 'purity and sincerity' appeal. Hakkai acts more than he models, and really enjoys doing short historical dramas and comedies. Hakkai is great at singing heartbreakingly sad love songs about loss, and he's almost always pictured with his pet. Hakkai loves to interact with fans, but sometimes he gets a little wary and just doesn't want to be near them at all sometimes, so he's occasionally the target of bad press. His voice sings well with all of them, since he's very adaptable. He's a better dancer than Sanzo, but not as good as Goku. He's usually the one pressuring the others to be more accommodating to the fans and trying to keep up their appearances. His color scheme is green, obviously, and it has some animal motifs like feathers and the occasional claw or fang necklace.
Gojyo is the bad boy sex appeal of the group. He's a model on the side, and also does a lot of acting gigs. If Hakkai was voted "Most Husband" then Gojyo was voted "Most Bangable." Gojyo gets a lot of interviews about if he's seeing anyone, and he's honestly seeing someone new every week, so the limelight's never not on him. He has a pretty fierce rivalry with Goku and Sanzo, and he gets really uncomfortable when he sees some of the slash stuff online or whatever because Hell yeah, he's beautiful but he's not into dudes especially not a brat like Goku or a hardass like SANZO. However, Hakkai makes sure he doesn't say a word about it so as not to hurt fan's feelings. Gojyo doesn't wear a shirt if he doesn't have to, and his color scheme is brown and occasionally blue, depending on where they show is. He has a more relaxed form of dress, but it fits his image so he gets away with it. Gojyo's songs that focus on him are about finding love and the struggles that being close with another person bring. He's so much of a crooner as Hakkai, but rather more of an upbeat, pop-ish sound.
Goku is arguably the heart and soul of the group and basically their mascot. He isn't the best singer, but his dancing and stage presence are both phenomenal and he's absolutely great at live performances. His innocent face and demeanor make him very, very popular as well, though not so much as Hakkai since he has a lot of growing up to do as the rookie of the group. Goku loves the attention that comes with being an idol, but most of all, it's the free food. Goku was abandoned and didn't have much attention paid to him growing up until he met Sanzo, so this makes up for it a million times over. Goku sings about enjoying the little things in life and being grateful for those important to you. Though his voice is immature, he touches a lot of hearts and the group wouldn't be where they were without him. Goku is the only one of them who doesn't do something extra like model or act, but occasionally he'll sponsor some kind of food or athletic merchandise.

s. but really guys, thank you. i really didn't have any idea that jed talked to all of you and that you would take your time doing and compiling all these so i just--I LOVE ALL OF YOU OKAY, I WISH YOU ALL KITTENS AND MONEY AND KISSESbut for real i was laughing so hard while i was browsing this. we were at a coffee shop and there's this table that's very close to us. and i cant open it properly because they would see and were already giving me weird looks because of the faces and noises i was making.
