Chapter 5 Teaser

“I want to know where my son is.” Joxter said, not wanting to listen to the spirit’s rambling any longer.

“Oh please. Are you that dense?” Snufkin scoffed, the spirit clearly being annoyed by the stupidity around him. “Your son is trapped in his own head. He is so pathetic.”

“Yeah, well guess what? At least he’s not a brat like you!” Little My shouted, not wanting to hear the bullying from the spirit.

“Your little brother is such a loser. He is such a screamer as well. He screams like a little girl. It’s no wonder why you see him as a mistake.” The spirit smirked, working his way into Little My’s head.

“I didn’t mean that! I was just mad. I-“ Little My shouted before she slowly lost her voice.

“He’ll never forgive you, you know? He wishes that you were never his sister.” The spirit’s grin grew wider as he witnessed the turmoil that the small girl was feeling.

“Shut up! You don’t know him like we do!” Moomin shouted, suddenly becoming angry, no, furious at the thought of Snufkin being tortured by the spirit while he was unconscious and the fact that he was hearing things that he knew deep down that it wasn’t true.

“Oh please. I know everything about him. You think I never knew where he was? After I died, I became his shadow. I plagued his darkest nightmares when he was a runt. But with every nightmare, he shook off. Going “the Boogyman is just a scary story adults tell their kids to behave, he doesn’t exist”. He never noticed I was there. And I am done being ignored!” The spirit ranted on. “You know what I’m going to do once I’ve killed all of you? I’m going to kill EVERYONE that has ever wronged me. Maybe your older sister would be a nice start My. Then everyone else that lives in this disgustingly sweet valley will pay. And finally, I’ll find “Mother”, and I’ll kill her too! Once that’s done I’m going to make this weakling jump off a cliff, and make him suffer the way I suffered 14 years ago!” Moomin covered his ears, not wanting to hear anymore. Moominmamma wrapped her arms around him, trying to give him comfort. He trembled in her arms, scared stiff at the thought of what the spirit planned to do. He knows that, for now, the spirit can’t do anything, but it was daunting to him at the fact that he might need to be untied to leave Snufkin’s body. And Snufkin, was he even aware that this is happening right now in front of him? If so then, what damage has been done already? And how will that affect him once he’s free of the demon possessing him?
