HELLO?????? HELLLOOOOOOOOOOO

The way even after the 33 million cycles where Phainon has become hardened to emotion and has lost his humanity in a way that we saw reflected in Aglaea— the way he still cares so deeply for Mydei specifically. He has not been hardened to the idea of his closest companion dying, especially not by his own hands. The way it still hurts him so deeply. Despite his anger, despite millions of years passing, despite his heart being weathered by time, despite easily being able to kill his other friends. When it comes to Mydei there is still that subtle hesitation.
I feel like no one talks about just how much impact Aglaea had on the chrysos heirs.
That woman is their freaking mother and they WILL die for her.
Phainon especially doesn't get talked about enough. He lost all his family and friends and arrived to Okhema with NOTHING. Yet she took up that maternal role in his life and really helped to shape his character.
Its clearest with Cipher (I love their dynamic so much) but even with Castorice, who does she go to with questions first? Aglaea. Who is she always trying to make proud? Aglaea.
Hell, even Mydei. all though its a lot more subtle the way she scolds Mydei and Phainon for their goofy competitions is nothing less than motherly disappointment.
Aglaea let herself play the villain and worked tirelessly all so the other chrysos heirs could have some semblance of a normal life.
Sure she was a bit harsh and made mistakes but what mother doesn't. She taught them how to be fearless and brave. Strong and smart. She gave everything for those kids.
GUYS HERE ME OUT, FLINS AS THE STRONG CROW BOY WHOS JOB IT IS TO DESTROY PLASTIC
Thinking about that one scene in mouthwashing where all the corpses are sat around the table for a party, mangled and deformed and barely looking like themselves and then imagining it as the chrysos heirs but only Phainon is alive desperately pretended that everyone is alive with him pupping the corpses like how a kid plays with their dolls.
I feel like Phainon hates cooking, especially for himself. Not cause he's horrible at it (Although he's definitely not the best) He hates it because each dish he makes is a small piece of the home he can never go back too. It's the warmth of his mothers hugs that he lost too young. It's the grains of wheat he grew up hiding from his teacher in. It's the taste of being a kid again playing pretend with no worries in the word. It's the taste of home that he hates, the bitter reminder he cant get it back.
He'll cook for others though, he wants them to know what that peaceful town was like. To know that it was important to him. To let them know that the people who lived there were real and deserve your grief as much as the next victims do.
One thing I love LOVE L O V E about the chrysos heirs is that they are a culmination of infinite possibilities shoved inside one cannon universe.
what I mean by that is they have all lived through over 33 million lifetimes. We don't know what happened in them, we will never know the complexities of each cycle. Therefore it is up to us (the fans/player base) to fill in those gaps.
They could be friends, they could be dating, they could just hate eachother, they could have gone through the worst together. Yes they could have killed eachother, they could have sacrificed themselves for eachother.
The possibilities are only limited by creativity.
The only certainty with the chrysos heirs is that in the end they are always unable to escape certain death.
They will meet again with the west wind and live another life.
new relationships. new memories. in a new world. where nothing bad has happened yet. where the don't know their fate.
where they can live for those one or two childish. carefree years once again.
and it's the only chance they ever get.
Listen, I LOVE Phainon and Anaxa's relationship but I just can't get behind the Phainaxa ship. To me they are so much more teacher/student but in a fatherly way almost? if that makes sense.
Like I cant see a world where these two are kissing and having sex but they can totally have sleepovers where they both wear a dromas onesie and make friendship bracelets
I feel like Anaxa just fits better with a mentor role. (ᵕ—ᴗ—)
