" Come down with a fever, Miss March? Don't worry. I've brought medicine, soup, a heating pad, and plenty of tea. ..Drink the tea. Yes, all of it. I'll make more. " Robin smiles brightly, setting things down on the nearby table before adjusting her mouth-mask. " Hopefully this will ease some of your symptoms.. " / from Robin to March!
MARCH really hadn’t known what to expect when her fingers glided across her phone screen, accessing her DMs with Robin—THE illustrious Halovian she had adored for the LONGEST time in the history of histories—to cancel their day together because she had awoken with a sore throat, a blocked nose, and a headache that refused to dissipate. The Nameless had done what she could to alleviate the symptoms before their time was due. From sit-ups, to doing hand-stands (which only made the pressure in her head worse), and even taking several multi-vitamins with the hope that it would cure the ache in her body. Alas, nothing was able to get rid of these symptoms, and after getting her temperature checked by Miss Himeko, the verdict came back all too clear.
She was too sick to go shopping with her favourite singer, with the best-case scenario being a flu that would stay with her for a few days.
This greatly disheartened the pinkette, and she knew deep in her heart that a moment like this would never come again. With a sigh, she sat back on her plush bed, reached for her phone, and began to type a message.
[ TXT to: Robin ♡ ] : Hey.. I’m really sorry to do this to you, but I’ve got a really high fever. I think Miss Himeko said something about the flu?
[ TXT ] : I’m really, truly sorry, Miss Robin. I promise I’ll make it up to you when I can. Maybe I can get you a little something as a treat for the sudden rain check?
Putting her phone on her bedside table face-down, she manoeuvres her body to lay down on the bed, pulling the covers over her, with her mind wandering in several different directions at once. If anyone was going to make her sick, it would be that damned partner in crime of her’s—always diving into trash cans, that one! She would soon have her revenge, but first, she finds herself falling asleep under the gaze of the stars.
The next time she is awakened, Himeko mentions she has a visitor. March sits up in her bed, curious about who could be coming to see her so suddenly. The elegance that wanders in afterward, fully prepared to take care of March in her desperate time of need, leaves her absolutely speechless for a moment—did she really come all the way here to help her feel better? With the insistence of drinking the tea, the sick woman happily indulges, humming at the taste that graces her tastebuds. It had been a while since she had a hot drink that wasn’t cursed by Himeko’s hand! And it was so, so heavenly in every way possible.
“Did you really come all the way here to make me feel better, Miss Robin?” Her gaze would remain curious, transfixed on the beauty that worked on making more tea. “You really don’t have to.. I feel bad that our original plans got ruined because of this fever.” Sometimes, there was a borderline struggle to articulate the way she felt, but a genuine well of guilt existed within her heart for not being able to fulfil their original plans. In some ways, March was simply happy to have been able to see Robin in any capacity. What a truly wonderful woman she is.
“You really are the best, you know that? I’ll be sure to make it up to you, I promise.” Her voice practically croaked during that proclamation, with her throat scratching as her vocal cords worked overtime to bring her pitch back. “Maybe we could watch a movie before you set out? If it’s not too much, that is..” While she talked, she had grabbed her stuffed bear and placed it on her lap, holding it close to her chest, with her slender fingers caressing the soft fabric as a means of comfort.
