I just finished decorating the carousel for Christmas. Nana Plume has spent the past 3 months making Victorian Christmas caroller costumes for all of the animals, and while I find it a little odd, something about a lion in a top hat ornamented with holly does put me in the spirit. And of course, we’ve got decorative lights and cranberry-popcorn garlands decorating the canopy, this is the most festive carousels that ever existed.

We’ve got a large tree in the front vestibule, and each room has a theme, and I’ve got sugar cookies in the oven for the guests, so we are ready for this Ellis Field Holiday Spectacular.

Teavent announcement!

After a lot of thought, going back and forth, I decided to do something new for Teavent.

And thus, Curation was born. Every day from December 1-25, I will post a small audio drama fragment, inspired by the tea advent calendar. Because of the challenge, the podcast will be lo-fi by necessity. The goal of this project is to create a audio curio cabinet of these stories of small moments.

In many ways, this is a podcast in its own right--I'll be posting the episodes here and deciding the best way to distribute it otherwise, whether on the LEF feed or creating its own feed for this.

I am very excited about this project and look forward to sharing it with you!
