Haymitch smirked at her words, his eyebrow cocking, until finally he gave way to the bubble of laughter that burst on his lips, his eyes closing a little until he relaxed and regained his composure. “First time I think you’ve ever said anything like that sweetheart, that was almost a joke!”

Haymitch palmed his eye, squinting at the sunlight that was blinding him. His head hurt like a mother but that usually meant he’d had a good night. Sighing he rolled over, only to be surprised at the figure next to him, his heart started to pump a little. “Did... did we fuck last night?” his words sounded strange to him... it wasn’t often he ended up in bed with someone, let alone Effie...
