ladies and germs I present to you: The Bad Batch -

Tech: only vaguely interested in the actual physical reality of the problem and is probably calculating the best way to balance weight distribution

Hunter: is carrying literally the entire problem and trying not to fall over while doing it. he’s FINE and he’s going to make SURE everybody KNOWS that he is HANDLING IT

Echo: is actively trying to physically help with the problem but Hunter didn’t really give him a chance to so he’s kinda here for moral support

Crosshair: says he doesn’t care about the problem says he couldn’t care LESS about the problem and yet. he’s still here. too invested to actually commit to the claims of not caring about the problem

Wrecker: is only here for a good time and is actively CAUSING the problem

today's tech's fine actually rant (not all of these are my observations, but I couldn't tell you where I got half of them)

Dave and Jen would absolutely do this to us. They know we’re gonna love it anyway, no matter how much it hurts us.

Why else would they make it the final season??

If it’s true (I will bet a thousand credits on this) then it makes everything so much sadder. The science with Phee? As close as a reunion we’ll ever get. Blowing up the marauder? It was his ship, as he said multiple times. It was his home. Episode 6 and 7? The whole family reunion, but not a friendly one. Deliberately not killing wrecker or hunter even though he had orders to (or killing them in a way that they could survive)? That’s because he’s my boy.

Tech’s alive. But it’s more heartbreaking than we could’ve anticipated.
