You unscrew it, fumbling with the child safety mechanism for longer than is respectable, then give it a whiff. The smell hits you like a cat sniffing nail polish and you recoil, blinking your eyes. You’re still gonna drink it though. You’re still gonna drink it. 

Since you’ve already drank over two litres of various bleaches and disinfectants, you have absolutely no taste left. So this stuff tastes great! It tastes very... Orange. You pour some on the floor to make sure it really is blue. It’s thick and globs onto the bathroom mat, which is soon going to be ruined. You don’t even remember what started all this! But you’re having a good time.

Your throat burns.

He obviously didn't recognise you in your human form, so you sat down across from him, at his small local pub where he took you a few times before, and asked him what his favourite band was. When he said death grips you clutched at your throat and sighed "me too" wistfully. He'd given you a Look and you asked him if you could rip his other eye out of its socket this time. Good times. He'd given the response you were hoping for, an exasperated and overdramatic moan; pinching the bridge of his nose; and a grimace as he forced out the word "Lit". After that you guys caught up and you'd tried to fill him in on what's been happening with you since you saw him last. At least, what you remember, or the suspicions of things that you think happened because of stuff you've read on your own blogs or in medical reports and journals of all kinds, or cryptic notes to self on scraps of paper in multiple workspaces you frequent.

That was maybe an hour ago. Now you're leaning into his shoulder, trying to focus on what he's saying over the cacophony of people shouting around you.
